- Kuala Sepetang (十八丁) is a coastal town located in Larut, Matang and Selama District in northwestern Perak, Malaysia.
It is a thriving fishing village, and the main jumping-off point to the river mouth community of Kuala Sangga, which is a Chinese fishing community at the river mouth which specializes in fish breeding in cages, more formerly known as cage culture.
Shot in October 2023. Color graded to own taste using a Film Emulation powergrade as base, DaVinci Resolve color managed. Blurred drone footage a little to match the rest.

We have visited Kuala Sepetang in several occasions mainly for seafood dinner. We simply enjoyed the overall package of this river delta. The breeze, sunset, fishermen's boats, birds,etc simply soothing.
It's such a stunning place to be, as you said it better, simply soothing!

我也只提及皮毛的知識，因為不想影片太拖，所以很多都沒寫進去。譬如紅樹林須要30年才可砍伐，每年政府都只限8平方公里給砍伐，砍一棵就要種一棵等等。
@@10cFILM系靠近Banting嘅Kg.Sijangkang內就有一個紅樹林公園，步道一圈全長1.8公里。入場費用成人RM2,小孩RM 1，右邊嘅舊步道會系植物旁放QR碼牌子以方便訪客手機掃描QR碼嚟獲取知識
只要唔踏出入口就可在裡面逗留至下午6點，步道沿途有數個小台供訪客休息及欣賞河口風景
非常好 其实馬來亞 有許多小市镇是 值得去看看的 人民安居樂业 退休的人士 去小地生活 更加安樂

這個channel其實是以我的個人觀點去說一些我見到的事物，我遇到的人和我感受到的文化與人情。都是一些比較隨意的紀錄，不可能像discovery channel 或者 BBC 那樣的嚴謹和規劃整個流程。
有三樣東西影響了我做這個系列的初衷。第一，在我中學時期看過老殘遊記，喜歡那種簡單隨緣的人生路上的紀錄。所以我的呈現方式比較像個人vlog而不是紀錄片。
第二，看過王家衛“阿飛正傳”，很喜歡電影裡旭仔那種對生命隨遇而安的態度。所以我出去拍影片遇到的人事物，都是沒有預約的。採取了緣分的安排的態度。
第三，做這個系列時很早就知道是一件吃力不討好的苦差。由於對影像質量的執著，和個人覺得別人也不怎麼會欣賞的所謂美感畫面和後期調色與錄音，用了太多精力去做出來。如果不是本身對舊事物的興趣，秉持著想留下一些回憶給自己和以後的generations，應該早就放棄了😅

This series is very interesting to those who grew up in many of these towns which were rather care free in their attitude amongst all Malaysian races. Now it is just a memory though if one ventures to Sarawak and Sabah, that scenario is still around.

The mangrove ecosystem is very rich in flora and fauna . Mangrove forest are land builders ..They will slowly encroach into the sea enlarging the land towards the sea .This can only happen on the west coast on Semenanjung Malaysia.Nobody starve here due to the abundance seafood .Don't let development spoil this rich resource.

Many RUclips videos already talking about Kuala sepetang and older generations normally have day trips from other states to visit sepetang. Maybe the youth are not interested in cultural & history. They usually will patron cafe and places that can make nice Instagram/TikTok posts
Kuala Sepetang is very famous, especially with Chinese 😅

@@10cFILM 唔會，同海魚一樣會調整體內鹽分，頂多冇泥味及肉質細嫩而已。亦有啲養到肉質結實度不輸野生非洲魚
如果係半鹹淡黑非洲，體色較黑。最早系巴生某處紅樹林內嘅小瀉湖內發現適應半鹹淡水嘅黑非洲，爾後人們就嘗試將非洲魚養系半鹹淡水內

我其實很有興趣過去看看的，但是因為漁船的安排只在下午，而下午約了一位朋友在太平，時間上趕不及。
在RUclips上也看到很多人都有拍到了，而且Facebook裡有個”一人一狗遊半島”的博主也很詳細的用文字介紹了。值得去看看他的文章，寫得很好。

Thank you boss, in October I went to Kuala kurau and ban pecah covering some footage but I still feel something is lacking content wise, so the video isn't out yet.
Yup I heard about Kak Tao, a very unique place in my eye. If someone knowing the place can show me around that will be best for me to go shoot some stuff, if not it'll just like what I had in Kuala kurau, very limited in the storytelling part. Hope you can let me know you have someone who can do that?

There must be some misunderstanding about the use of narration style. Let me explain.
My friend, who did all the narration was working in Guangdong province for a period of time and later on running his business in Hong Kong. So the way he speaks naturally is his style of talking, there isn't any pretentious intention at all. Even when he talk normal in daily life, he can't talk Malaysia Cantonese style too much, I guess it's the assimilated process over the years when he was overseas. Just like a youtuber I like, Kai (usually a camera reviewer) speak very England accent English, it's because of his background not because he is pretentious.
Hope this helps to clear the doubt in you.
