- Join me in Troy's Tasting Room as we sample four different examples of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Each selection has extensive (if not legendary!) history in the valley. Some represent the more traditional, old-school style of winemaking while others take a modern approach. Let's explore Napa Valley together!

You work at Total wine ? I do and we have all these.
As a Bordeaux drinker who enjoys the likes of Las Cases, VCC, Figeac, Lalande and Margaux wines, which Napa producers should I be looking at? Im torn between Shafer and Dunn.
I would point to the Dunn, particularly in reference to Las Cases. I might suggest trying both (side by side?) for an even more interesting experience, but if I had to choose, the Dunn will absolutely be more in line with those producers!
@@TroysTastingRoom Hi, is Dunn more classic in style compared to Shafer which is more modern? Do note that I'm in search of elegant wines with finesse. Hence, again with reference to Bordeaux, Ive tried and wasnt a fan of Cos, Montrose, Baron, Palmer as well as Amarone wines (high alcohol, fruit, oak) etc.
@@Spiritchaser93 Dunn is classic, but in an almost niche way. The wine is heavily driven by Brettanomyces, so the wine is mighty dirty in style. I think of that as classic, but it really depends on the frame of reference. I find Shafer is classic in reference to, say, 1980's to 2010's Napa Cab. Bear in mind that my perspective on those wines is narrow, too, as there are those with experience of Napa's wines back to Prohibition-Era. This is far deeper than is necessary to decide if you enjoy the wine or not, I just really enjoy discussing Napa wines from a broad perspective.
This might even convert a European non-cab drinker like me to fork out a bit of cash and try one
What happened to his face ? Was he beat up or had facial reconstruction surgery . Whats the mystery?😳😂😂
chappellet is definitely my kind of wine
