UM fan here but Seton Hall had all sorts of talent and a great head coach. Thanks for the upload - this was a great final.

I had no idea Seton Hall was in NJ. I watched this game as an 9th grader and said that's where I'm going to school. I entered there as a freshman year in 1992

    Great memories as a student.
Proud to have graduated from that small school in south orange NJ.
And still watch every game to this day.
    Go Pirates

I was in the Student Center watching this, all the state pols were there...what a run! I went to the Georgetown game at the Meadowlands, and had Ramon Ramos in one of my classes...many memories there!

I just noticed this, but all the Final Four teams the state of New Jersey has produced. ‘65 Princeton, ‘76 Rutgers, and ‘89 Seton Hall, habe had their tourney runs ended by Michigan.

At 44:26 in a crowd shot of the parade down South Orange Avenue you may see a young 17-year old blonde kid with an H painted on his left cheek. That's me, a life-long Pirates fan who grew up on Turrell avenue a block from campus, then a senior at Columbia High school. They let school out early so we could make it to the parade on time.
I'm 52 now, that was a great team, and those were great times.

Fantastic team! 32 years later and the horrendous call still bothers me.

The missed free throw up by 3 bothers me even more

It was a bad call but putting a 50% free throw shooter on the line for a one & one instead of letting a wide open Terry Mills take the last shot, didn't really help the winning team either.

Students never parked close to the outfield. Lots of home run balls went into the parking lot. Windshield buster Mo was.

I am a HOF Lacrosse Ref and I never forgot how this ref directly influenced the outcome of the game with 3 seconds left. As a 1971 Hall Grad, I went to Denver thinking they never could beat Indiana & UNLV - I left to go home to Seattle with 10 tickets to the Kingdom!!!!
