This would be awesome in Colinfurze bunker. Super cool!
I totally agree! I watched every episode of his tunnel and Bunker series. He’s an amazing fella
from the thumbnail I thought that’s what this was, at first! nice work sunharvester :)
Thanks dude!!😊✌🏼
I was thinking the same thing
"This shit drives me up the fucking wall"
Lol, that was the most uplifting comment so far. Nice job rising to the occasion😄
I need this for my shop attic. Tired of climbing the ladder up while lugging heavy equipment 😁
You could build the platform bigger so that you could accommodate things you going lift and yourself. If you were going to do that you would want to use a larger size hoist which is no big deal they have many different sizes on Amazon. Carrying heavy hings up a ladder is no fun😉
@@sunharvester Really nice build, i'll definitely be doing this in the future.
That's prett quick as well!
The hoist is rated for 40 feet per minute single line. I definitely wanted a high speed hoist so it was a quick trip up and down.
Popped up on my recommendations. Thanks RUclips 🔥🔥🔥
Thankful for RUclips recommendations. And thank you for watching!😊👍🏼
Here before daily dose of Internet goes “This guy has bad knees, so he built an elevator inside his home”
The old saying “necessity is the mother of invention“ definitely came into play.
You'll not only save your knees, you no longer have to carry heavy things up/down the steps
The first thing I brought up was a case of water and I was grinning from ear to ear when I reached the top and was able to set the water down. Pure luxury! Thanks Sam!😊
@@sunharvester a luxury indeed
Definitely building this someday
Only took me about 10 hours total time to build after I got all the parts together. Pretty minimal time investment for something that makes my life so much better.😊
love Love LOVE IT!!!
Thanks for checking it out!😊
I noticed the notched board next to it you can use as a ladder if need be. Really cool!
Yuppers, that’s the emergency stairs up and down if the hoist breaks. It came in handy when I was building the lift as a way to get up and down. Thanks so much for watching!
That ended up very nice I have to say.
Some questions came into my mind seeing this:
what happens if for any reason the hatch is blocked? (Jammed, or someone put something on it?)
would it be possible to have another cable so that the hatch closes automatically when the lift is at the lowest level so that no one can fall in if you forgot to close it (from family to burglar ;))?
could a multi-stage emergency brake be implemented on the tracks? the height will not be healthy in case of a fall or I do not understand the safety belt thingy enough to bet "my" life
Congratulations on the result anyway
Fortunately, I live alone, and I never put anything on top of the hatch. I also have a set of steps outside of my building that I can use to gain access to the building if the hoist malfunctions. This is my first version of the lift, and one of the things I wanna add, is a linear actuator to the hatch door that will open with a push of a button. Thanks for checking it out and commenting!
Beautiful
Thanks Scott! Glad you enjoyed
I have a feeling the cartel will be contacting you, regarding their trap houses...Complete, with tunnels..lol
Ha! Really hoping that doesn’t happen😉
This is great
Thanks so much, glad you like it!😊
That's awesome!
Glad you liked it and thanks so much for checking out the video!
Hell yeah dude. This is awesome
Thanks my friend, really appreciate it!!!
**Colin Furze has entered the chat**
I would love to see a Colin Furze Version of this lift! He would use steel tubing, and everything would be absolutely perfectly cut and welded together. And the platform would be plasma cut with his logo in the center. Is stuff is legit!
Maybe not the safest, but at least you can stop the ride at any time.
Definitely not for everyone but I’m having a blast with it. I feel like a kid on an amusement ride.😊
Epic
Thanks for checking it out!😉
How much did the whole project cost? Also very cool project👍👍

Thats surprisingly well priced. Thanks!
Way cheaper than buying something prefabricated, and only about 10 hours of labor to build.
@@sunharvester Great point
What was your total cost? seems like a good space saver vs stairs in sheds and whatnot

Definitely a space saver for sure! Takes up almost no room, as opposed to a set of steps.
