(Works for any Call of Duty Game) Black Ops 3 - How to fix "Lobby not Joinable" Error

- Open the description for important info!
First of all, you will need to port forward for this to work. Visit portforward.com for more info on that - since every router is different, I'm not able to address each one here. Simply find your router and it'll give you more info on how to access your router's site and port forward.
When you port forward, you are essentially allowing a certain port (which is blocked) to be put forward so that people can connect to it. Without this port to connect to, it can be incredibly annoying when trying to connect to someone.
--------------------------------------------------
Other Info:
On PS4, the port I had to forward was "UDP 3074"
And on PC, the port I had to forward was "UDP 27017"
These may not be the ports you have to forward, however they were the ones I had to for it to work. Remember to make sure that you ONLY forward the port it says in your game settings, otherwise it won't work for some reason.

Holy shit, now i got nat type open. SUPER THANKS!
thanks mate, I kept thinking my wifi card broke or something.
Instructions unclear, I dont have the game anymore, nor wifi.
When my friend joins zombies mode with me, I had gun mod and custom zombies map and when we both joined, his game crashed and kicked him from Call Of Duty:Black Ops III.
Sorry to hear that... I'm not sure if a NAT type guide will be able to help though.
Either way, all the very best of luck. 👍

Sorry, what do you mean? 😅
@@RobotWobot sry my NAT TYPE IS Open And stayed lobby not joinable
@@nl3p-464 Thanks for getting back to me. I would recommend both you and your friend(s) try the following...
1. Restart the game.
2. Check for game updates.
3. Check for system updates.
4. Restart your Internet.
5. If none of the above works, the person you are connecting to may have to try opening their NAT type themselves.
Do let me know if anything works! ^_^
If you can’t enter zombies just skip the spam cancel online and it still works
Darth Dumptruck Hi, teeny bit late to reply... but what do you mean? When would you do this, exactly?

What do you need help with? Access to your router's website?
(If you have any more problems, I'm happy to help.)
Any of these methods will work:
Method 1: You must have access to a Windows PC. Open the File Explorer and navigate to Network. Once you’re there, you may have to right-click every icon available, or it may be something obvious with your router’s name on it, or. Once you find it, it will say, “View device web page”. Click it and it’ll take you to your router’s website.
Method 2: With these next few methods, you will be looking for a “gateway IP address”. This is four sets of numbers with a full stop between each set. For example, mine looks like this: “192.168.1.254”. Yours will likely begin with “192.168” as well. Once you find it, you need to pop it into your browser’s address bar and search for it, like so.
Method 3: On your PC, type in “CMD” into your search bar, and select this option. Once this opens up type in, “ipconfig”, then press enter. Yours may be laid out slightly differently, but the bottom number will likely be the gateway ip. If not, try each IP address there until it works.
Method 4: The third method is to find your router, and, somewhere on it, there may be a gateway IP address to put into your browser’s URL slot. Yours may not be on it, but I found mine on a removable card. For example, I found mine here.
Method 5: The fourth method, is to find your brand of router on this website. It will be linked in the description, as well as the card appearing now in the top right corner of the screen. Once you find it, try each gateway IP address until you gain access to your router’s website.
Playing on PS3 and Nat is open lobby is open and still getting lobby not joinable. We are in the same room and cannot
Play on anything multiplayer 🙄 any suggestions?
Sorry, I'm late to respond.
To clarify, are you trying to connect to each other?
I believe you need to play on LAN mode (or System Link or something? I can't quite remember what it's called) to do that.
Or are you both trying to play online?
I don't think you can both have open NAT if you port forward on the same network.
Thank you kindly! ^_^
I still don't know how to open my nat! Mine looks way different then this and doesn't even have somewhere that I can insert the black ops 3 code. On the bright side I get to play zombies multiplayer non stop 🙃
Hey, I'm two weeks late but have a check on portforward.com/router.htm - there will be a list of routers. Find your router and there'll be a guide for you. 👍
doesn’t work for me
You port forwarded and your NAT type didn't switch to "Open"?
If you don't want to talk over YT comments, feel free to pop me a message on Discord if ya need any more help: Robot#1627
I gotta do so much just to play bo3
My friend and I are on moderate we used to be able to join each other but suddenly we can't (Steam)
It sounds like both of you need to try and open your NAT.
What's the other tutorial?
If you're trying to port forward then this website will give you all the guidance you need: portforward.com/router.htm - just find your router and there will be a guide on how to access your router's website. From there you can port forward.
On my Xbox it says I have an open nat type but on bo3 it says it’s a strict nat type
I'm assuming you're saying that your Xbox network settings says open, however your actual game says it is not.
You do still need to open your NAT type on the game if you're encountering problems. Let me know if you have any problems.
Quick question does this work for black ops 1. I know it says for all but I can never find a game and I had to refund it because multiplayer in regular and zombies was unplayable?
I think the only thing you can really to is percevere; keeping trying to connect and try different methods to do so (for example, if you want to play with a friend, try joining a public match and see if they can join that). Otherwise? All I can recommend is restart the game and your Internet.
I've had problems in the past with Black Ops 1, but unfortunately I don't think this NAT solution will help because I'm pretty sure it's a different problem. : /
To be fair though, it is an old game and there probably aren't a lot of people playing it any more.
But either way, sorry I couldn't help much and I hope you solve your problem!
Unfortunately my parents own my internet so that might be an issue
I don't how to do it i wanna cry
Try taking a look at portforward.com/router.htm - find your router and see if you can find a helpful guide.
If not, you can pop me a message on Discord: Robot#1627
Where is the next vid , of this part im trying to play bo3 but it not letting me load into any multiplayer lobby’s
Hi! Sorry, no other video. I also don’t think this tutorial will help with loading into multiplayer lobbies unfortunately. I’d wager that BO3 is too old and therefore doesn’t have as many active players.
All the best of luck though!
my xbox says open and won't let me play with one of my friends but any other friend i can play with
If this friend who you are playing with has either a strict or moderate NAT type, then you may still have to try to join a few times. If not, then this friend may have to get their NAT type to be open as well unfortunately.
I got open nay but still lobby not joinable
Try a few times. If not, your friend may need to do it as well.
What is the website called
The router website?
Here are 4 methods you can take to get there on Windows:
*1. CMD:*
Windows search bar > type CMD > enter > type ipconfig > enter > Gateway IP is at the very bottom.
*2. Network settings:*
Right-click Windows search bar > Network Connections > Properties (Change connection properties) > scroll down to Properties section > Gateway IP by IPv4 DNS servers:
(If it doesn’t show up automatically, go to next step)
*3. Control Panel:*
Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Centre > Button next to Connections > Details… > Gateway IPs here.
*4. View device web page:*
File Explorer > Network > Underneath Network Infrastructure. “View device web page”.
If it is not there, open Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Centre > Change advanced sharing settings on the left > Turn on network discovery > Save changes.
(follow instructions).
“View device web page”.
Dose it work for console?
Yes! You can get an open NAT on console.
You can even access your router's website on your console's web browser and port forward from there.

I got my game port forwarded and its on open nat type. But my brother cant join and its probably cuz we're on the same network. Please help cuz I cant port forward his game too since. I got spectrum btw if thats gives you any ideas
I would imagine you can do it through LAN. I don't know if you're familiar with this, but usually Call of Duty games have a "LAN" setting, which allows you to join if you're on the same network.

Btw to let you know it doesn’t work for spectrum routers
I talked to a bunch of people and made a spreadsheet, to figure out why some people can't port forward. Six people have Spectrum routers. Two have managed to fix the problem.
One managed to port forward through the Spectrum app. The other tweaked their Firewall/Antivirus settings on their PC. So I guess it is possible - but maybe not for everyone.
ok i know this is an old video, but me and my friend have been having this exact issue for so long on BO3 and recently on cold war too, I have port forwarded correctly and everything and still nothing. I have no idea what to do and I feel lost. both our nat types are always open but it always shows up with that stupid fucking error message

Really sorry for the late reply. Here's everything you should try:
1. Restart your game and check for updates.
2. Try different methods of connecting to each other - e.g. they connect to you, you connect to them, give them an invitation and use that etc.
3. I'm assuming they have a strict NAT - perhaps if they restart their Internet or re-establish Internet connection from the platform they're using, then that may work.
4. If all else fails, they may have to port forward themselves. If not, try finding other people to play with. If you have an open NAT type, then it should be super easy to connect to most people.

From the research I've conducted, it currently only looks possible for one system to have its port forwarded at once, unfortunately.
For example, say you have BO3 on PS4 and PC:
If you forward port 3074 on PS4, you can't simultaneously forward port 3074 on PC.
If the port is different - for example, you forward port 27017 on PS4, you can open port 3074 on PC.

jason this is my other account. 👋
Considering every router is different, I couldn't do that. Instead I showed what I could.
However, I can show you how to port forward, if you wish. I've managed to do it on multiple routers.
Follow me on Twitter (in description) and I can DM you.

So you:
1. Entered router website.
2. Logged in.
3. Forwarded correct port.
4. Restarted Internet.
5. Made sure it processed correctly.
6. Restarted game.
Nothing?
