I caught Colm in the original cast of LES MIZ. His deep and personal performance stunned me and today I still consider him one of the greatest singer/actors ever. However the copy to this feature is inaccurate in implying that THE MUSIC OF THE NIGHT would be Mr. Wilkinson's signature song. That song belongs to Michael Crawford, the original Phantom. Colm's signature song is BRING HIM HOME. Whichever lazy writer wrote the narrative got it wrong.
Yes, i associate Crawford with MOTN. But I grew to like Colm's version better. And Colm did first sing MOTN and was meant to be the Phantom but was obligated to Les Mis.
