I have the dual motor tt ebike...I mainly ride trails.....let me tell u this thing crawls through everything, including swamps. Just keep the motors from going under.❤
I agree with the double throttle, if you're taking a long ride you can alternate to keep your controller cool to. using less power if you're cruising on one.
yeah I like them separate because sometimes its sketchy to have the front motor going. In particular, if you are turning the wheel or leaning the bike. It feels jerky and can almost throw you off the bike when you are completely stopped, with the wheel turned, and start the front motor.
It looks like you added the seatpost suspension to the cheetah. I've ridden this style of rear suspension and I can see that adding a seatpost suspension could still be helpful for long/bumpy rides.
suspension seat posts are great 👍 I put on a cloud 9 seat in conjunction with the seat post and it actually hurts more. The seat is just too damn wide for me in the nose. Rubs me raw on the inner thigh. I've tried velmia bike seats that are thinner like standard bike seats but with the memory foam... The memory foam eventually collapses after about 50 miles then the Gooch starts pulsing like a nightclub rhythm at the 50 mile mark 😂😂😂 Honestly my best ride is suspension seat post with my original seat 🤷 whooda thunkit?
@@BrettWoodBiking my cloud 9 seat is totally falling apart and splitting in half lmao. What I want to do is put a Purple seat cushion in a saddle some how
yup yup I took a bunch of stuff off my Dual Hub bike! Since I need to strip it down to repair that crack in the down tube. Lol so the Cheetah got a bunch of upgrades and will get to enjoy those things for now
and yeah the suspension seatpost does still help and make it more comfortable. The rear suspension on the cheetah is alright Its better than nothing, id say its the same travel as the suspension seat post and probably feels better. Since its suspension for the entire frame and not just your saddle. But still Yeah the seatpost makes it even better
A 750w geared hub bafang stock motor will deliver so much torque already, dual configuration must climb crazy hills This is where a vesc dual controller comes handy, you can manage both motors with a single throttle and maybe write a code for anti slip system using accelerometer and digital signals.
That's what I'd like to do on my Mars with the 500W motor as it's not good on climbing hills & bogs down or can't do it. With a front basket bolted to the frame, it's perfect for a battery & Flipsky controller for a front hub. You need to get the frame that the front hub motor broke welded up to see if it's repairable & reinforced to not break again. The torque on the headset, frame & forks is my biggest worry of using dual motors.
I wish I could do all-wheel drive. I do have a spare brand new g062 strung up in a rim ,unfortunately it's 190 mm. Still debating on going to the phase runner since my stumbling block is the interface between the rear hub cable and the phase runner. Just don't have that ambition to start cutting and soldering.
Yeah those L1121 connectors are a Btch, I have a front 1000w g61 motor sitting in a box that i've never laced into a rim or used because it has one of those. If you dont like to solder there are crimp-able connectors probably, but ultimately the expensive l1121 to 1019 adapter is probably the cleanest way to do it. Soldering the wires can be a pain. But with some heat shrink over it, Probably could look somewhat clean. In terms of the motors I've had ppl ask if the rear motors are swappable / will fit in the front, however the rear g62 is 175mm and 190mm wide, due to the cassette or freewheel. Whereas the front G60 / G61 is in 135mm size, for a fat bike front fork. The clutch will rotate either clockwise or counterclockwise depending on which side of the motor the cable comes out. If the cable comes out on the left brake rotor side like a G62, then it uses a CCW clutch. And motors with the cable coming out on the right / drive side use a clockwise clutch. So very similar. But not quite swappable between the front and the rear.
dual motors won't increase the top speed very much. The voltage is the main thing that determines the speed. On 48V these 750w motors will go about 30MPH. If i want to go faster I plug in high voltage battery, 72v will usually go about 10mph faster than 48v
That thing is becoming quite the road beast

I like the duel motors with seprate throttle
yup that front one can be sketchy when you are turning the wheel and/or leaning the bike. But its a llot of fun haha

Lol nice intro

Steel is easy to weld
