I think my brothers still have the original blueprints dating over 40 years ago still in their box somewhere, i still like the old design stylings better but this generation of designs is alot better than the unseen redesigns.
Rzy is Battletech's line developer, the man in charge of the entire Battletech line. Every product in the BT line has to be appoved by him. Brent is CGL's Art Director, and Anthony is BT art director.....
I love these! It was $25 for all four I think? I do wish the packaging was a little thicker cardboard since mine got a little creased flying back from GenCon. But I've already got them in poster frames and they look awesome!
I hope these get a general release. Despise the whole con exclusive releases that so many companies love. Either make something available to all the fans or don't make it at all.
I also have that original blueprint set, but it's also the folded and not rolled version. However, I ended up getting it for free do I can't complain. 3:49 - Bad news Justin, it looks like your studio's been bugged! I blame the Maskirova for sure. 5:52 - David Dryburgh is an alias of David Razi, a BattleTech artist and author. Keith Hann is probably better known as Xotl on the BattleTech forums, he does a lot of game design and development. 3009 is down as the year on the Daishi as it was developed around that time, the MUL lists its year of introduction as 3010. Similarly the Phoenix Hawk's date says 2567 because it reaches service in 2568. And Dak does alot of design for BattleTech in general, not just the boxes.
If they sell these on the online store, I’d 100% pay whatever they’re asking. These are one of my most sought after merch of all time

They look pretty good up close. I cherish my classic ones that I have scattered through my house.
Thank you for a great look at these! (And yes, laws of nature say all cardboard tubes or cartons must be used in sword/lightsaber duels. 😂🙌)

An Urbanmech..all I wanted to see. Ah well.
These at Displate would be badass
You're not wrong...
I had no idea they were putting these out and I desperately need them. Hope they come to the online store soon!
I always wanted these so when I saw them at GenCon I snagged them immediately. No regrets.
So excited for these. Of all my old BT stuff that got discarded over the years, I've missed these a lot.
Great review. Looking forward to getting it. Looking forward to more videos.
Hopefully they offer more in the future!
Now we need blue prints to build one.

Wish I still had the original ones.
I have the way older one..
The one that's marauder, rifleman, Warhammer and one other? Those are legit.
Hot hellfire are these great.
I hope they worked with a mechanical engineer to develop these to give them a sense of realism.
They look nice but not a priority for me.
But they are not blue :(
Two bits of clanner trash, a crap mech and a warhammer, 2/10, will not buy
