We have a tradition every Christmas Eve, we get together with my husbands family and all go out somewhere nice for breakfast. Sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews… I look forward to it just as much as Christmas itself! Love your videos Emily x
A lovely tradition I have started is measuring how tall they are with a piece of ribbon then putting that in a bauble so each year you can see how much they grow 💗
We have a vacuum food machine called FoodSaver (Lakeland) and it’s a little handheld device and there’s a lot of reusable vacuum bags with it. For Christmas, I prep my veg a few days before and store them in that. When I’m ready, take them out and cook. They’re like they’re just chopped. I use it for loads of things at home. Keeps them from spoiling and also stops freezer burn if you stick them in the freezer.
I love the family orientated baubles. My kids have loads with their names on from when they were really wee and for the last few years I've put a new one for each of them in the Christmas eve box. When they leave home (😢) they will have a box of decorations to start their own tree and enjoy the memories x

I do an advent calendar with my girls but instead of chocolate we do an activity every day in December. It can be a simple as wrapping friends presents or a face mask pamper night. Their favourites are a trip to Starbucks, getting a pick n mix and getting to choose dinner one night.

Christmas traditions: we started the Jesse tree last year for Advent. The kids loved it! They coloured the decorations themselves and I laminated them so we'll have them for a long time 😊 We have the elves visit like you and advent calendar too! 😊. We put up our crib at the start of Advent too 😊 We have an advent wreath and go to mass of course for Christmas eve and Christmas day 😊🙏

Have you ever done the Bluebell Railway at Christmas time? I wouldn't call that a Christmas tradition for us (since it's a bit pricey) but we try to go when we can. It's a steam train, and you get off at the station and they have a load of Christmas activities, Santa, chestnuts all that good stuff. I reckon your boys would enjoy it xx
Nice ornaments. Every year my friend and I buy each other a Christmas ornament or decoration. This year I found a lovely one on Etsy that is about the queen. It has the quote on it from her first broadcast & the dates etc. One to always keep.
Hope Kiki feels better soon Emily, love your family tradition. We do not really have one as such, Christmas Eve we open one present each and put on our new pjs, fluffy slippers and have homemade soup with crusty bread, because the next day will be a feast!
When my jack russels got the snip our vet also gave us a body suit for them so they didn’t have to wear a cone. Think we kept it so if I’m future they need any operation or anything they won’t have to wear a cone.

When my kids were small we used to choose a Christmas movie and watch it as a family on Christmas eve. We would have finger supper with yumi bits. And for new years eve i would get helium balloons for each of us and we would let them off at 12pm and let go of all the bads things that happened that year and bring in the new year

I love those ornaments with the kids on them. They're so cute. A friend of ours makes wood ornaments and we had him make us one for every pet we had now and past with names on them. I was just thinking about your Christmas ornaments. Maybe you can make some with your family that are visiting. And then they can take theirs home and have a photo of you all together in it. and you keep one at your place! Like a photo of all of you together in a ballball. With as many people coming, I highly recommend getting paper plates. Not environmentally friendly, but it will really save you time on dishes. Also recommend having your family bring dishes so you don’t have to make everything.
Yes!! To This 👆 3 months into postpartum with my second child that's the one thing I switched around. Started using paper plates for now about 80% of the time because I realized I really needed not having to load and unload the dishwasher every morning during this phase of my life. It works, saving nerves every day. I'll get back to bring more environmental friendly once I'm back in shape with set sleep rythm.

Even tho we I’ve got a dishwasher I use paper plates nearly every day. They’re great.
Not environmentally friendly. So don’t. Just use normal plates, put them in the dishwasher or wash them up! We are in a climate crisis.

I like walking in the fresh air! I love taking showers and baths to make me relax, motivated and clean too. I’ve absolutely loved and enjoyed wearing different and beautiful clothes everyday to make me feel excited and pleased! I like wearing makeup and perfume. The spicy lentil carrot soup is so good! I love homemade soups too! I love doing my fitness and exercises at the moment because I find them so motiving. Cinnamon swirls are so nice and delicious!
