I like to see creators decorate early. It gives me inspiration & ideas. And decorating early takes away some stress & my family can relax under the twinkling lights & enjoy the season.
I may not put my decorations up till December but if it brings you joy have them up all year if you want. If you don't want to watch it yet leave it and then come back when you want it.

I love the fact that you decorate for Christmas this early. I don't decorate till after Thanksgiving, but my son doesn't want the Christmas tree to come down until after his birthday in february. He doesn't care if the decorations stay on the tree that long he just likes the Christmas lights. I love watching your videos I love the decorating you do. It gives me inspiration for my house.

I have my decor up already (it makes me happy and feels warm/festive), I am almost done with gifts. Have the Christmas food ordered. Starting to organise everything for wrapping and make the lists and plan of things to do (picking shopping up, food prep etc). Early is best, everyone tells me I start too early every year, yet I am the one who is relaxed and enjoying December and christmas activities with the children and family, whilst everyone else is running around stuck in traffic, visiting crazy shopping centres trying to get sorted (making it a stressful time instead of enjoyable). When you work full time and have a family or have a busy life, even if you don't, start early. I also don't feel the financial strain as much, as I start buying in Augusts pay, and do some each month until November. Then December's pay is saved to get us through the long wait for Januarys pay. Thank us next year. Love this content ❤

There is so much Christmas content on other channels and if it’s too early for some people then they don’t have to watch your vlogs until later in December when they are ready. So sorry to hear people were aggressive towards you about it, it’s your house! As you say you do it as ideas and what you are doing. I don’t personally put mine up until December, but I know plenty of friends whose tree and decoration are already up xx

Thanks for your inspiring Christmassy content, I have to clean out the house a bit first and clear out old toys also. I'm cackling at cleaning out the freezer. No one thinks of that as a holiday job but us moms
We’ve put our outside Christmas decorations up and I’ve done our daughter’s room, we do a bit each weekend in November so it’s already for December. Trying to make it really special this year as I spent Christmas in hospital with my three year old last year and I found it hard as I wasn’t there for my 11 month old first Christmas morning but we got to spend the evening together in the end and my daughter luckily recovered fine and enjoyed the rest of Christmas but she’s super excited for it this year, I love watching Christmas decorating videos xx
Little tip- when hanging baubles ( especially the ones right at the bottom of the tree) wrap the string around the tree sprigs so they aren’t too dangly. Game changer.
So happy to see Christmas decorations up early !! November goes so quickly and now you get to enjoy it for a bit longer.. 🎄🎄🎄

The Xmas rug looks lovely with your things. I’m always in smallish places where too much red absorbs too much light but if you have lots of neutral furniture & furnishings & have plenty of space& light, it’s lovely. I get quite sad that red & carols are out & over with almost straight away after Xmas. I leave my lights up until at least the end of Jan. Red is the first to go along with tinsel, Classic fm & Xmas songs. I have a Christmas playlist on my phone but also a winter one which gets a longer play ❤❤

Just watching this atm with my 3 year old and I have 3 older step kids too and we've slowly been putting the Christmas decorations up since November 1st, it's the first year my daughter fully understands and all the kids are super excited about Christmas already and I love it too so why not, it's fun and we've even been watching all the movies already but it's for us, if anyone thinks it's too early then that's their problem ❤️

It's never too early for Christmas decorations
Decorating for Christmas is so much work, why not do it early so you can enjoy it? In our house we have a birthday in early November so we always wait until after that to dive into Christmas but it's something we look forward to every year.
Loved this video Emily, the rig looks so cozy, really made me laugh when you and Matt were discussing Christmas, when he said 'thats my family sorted 😅 x

I start listening to Christmas music mid summer and I love putting up my Christmas decor Nov 1st! One month for all the work we put in is too short a time. This year I’ve been fighting myself not to put them up until thanksgiving afternoon solely because we have family coming over for thanksgiving and the kids want to help put up the Christmas decor. Don’t listen to haters. You do you! And don’t delete the comments! Let us at them!!!!
I started watching you when we were having babies. But got obsessed with your Christmas content I come back every year to see what's going on. Please don't be put off with others silly comments because I love that it's early so I have time to organize too keep up the good job. Ps loved you and hubby's planning it was so cute!

Love the rug Emily. As far as the negative comments. Firstly, as you say, content is your job so you have to start early. You are a busy mum and have a full on job so you need to be organised. When my boys were younger I was the same. Come 1st November Christmas state red appearing because I just did not have the time to do it all two weeks before Christmas Day. Finally. You do what you want to do. No one is forced to watch your channel. If it’s too soon you these people to think Christmas, save up your vlogs and binge watch on 1st December.

I'm not an early Christmas decoration person but if anyone wants to put theirs up early carry on. As for rugs in the kitchen that's a big no no, they can be a trip hazard and become dirty very quickly with spills etc. Cleaner and safer without them and less work.

Hi Emily the rug looks stunning very festive. I don’t normally put my decorations up until 12 days before Xmas but I may do a bit earlier this year just so we can enjoy them for longer makes me happy being festive. It’s a personal preference as to when you decorate so people don’t need to be negative if you don’t want your decs up don’t put them up if a channel offends then don’t watch. I love your Xmas videos so keep them coming xx

Hi Emily, I've seen nasty comments on other channels, which is so mean and unnecessary. I think certain people forget that these videos also provide inspiration for various seasonal decorations, but if you want to put your Christmas decorations up in June, then that's your business. If someone is offended or horrified by that, they should just switch off and leave the rest of us to enjoy it! I started my Christmas shopping in July because I saw things i knew certain people would love. That's just me, and I'm not apologising to anyone for that!!! Anyway, rant over!!! Gteat video as usual!❤
I love the rug. So cosy. Also, I put my decorations up mid November now, before having kids it was start of December. But it takes so long to decorate I think we should be able to appreciate it for as long as possible. Plus, the kids love it. Growing up Canada Thanksgiving arrived in October and then that gave more time between Thanksgiving and Canada to celebrate both seasons.

I put my decs up at the end of November & take them down around Jan 10th. I often find these days that a lot of people take their decs down the day after Boxing Day. Not me, I want them up for as long as possible.
