That is a *GREAT* location. It has easy access to tons of stuff and is probably the sunniest part of SF.
Wow the city's really growing. Loosing population but continuing to build upward. Fantastic skyline.
It’s certainly a better use of that space than what was there before.
I wonder what they consider “affordable”.
They’re lucky to have Visa moving in there.
The views of the ballpark are great (if the tenants like baseball). Great location to view fireworks.
How long will the offices remain vacant though?
This “news” segment looked more like advertising.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤So excited and proud of you Iowayna Peña!!
I was sure I heard her say that they will have affordable Living? Well I just looked on their website and a Two bedroom apartment starting at $6,000 a month
Ssshhhh, thanks for the heads up, I'll take 3 apartments 🤣🤦♂️
Affordable for who?
$72k/yr just for rent.
I don't look, but my assumption is that you have to get the bmr units through a process...??
In SF you apply through a portal and it caps the rent at 30% or so of your salary. People who qualify could be paying around $1-2k a month for rent or less. 40% of the units are reserved for this which is a very significant number. That’s probably why the penthouse units and higher are going for $6k, sort of like a subsidy for the low income units. It’s also possible that these are early bird pricing and the rates will lower to market once the parks finishes and nearby tenants move in.
@@anthonysnyder1152 yeah. I think it's fair in today's climate especially when a lot of times these neighborhoods used to be poor. I think generally those units are going to be the less desirable ones which I think is fair as well. However, they should still be somewhat mixed in. Instead of having one particular area all being low income.
That's so beautiful! I made a video on China Basin Park and am looking forward to the area's full development.
The Public Transportation nearby compared to the sizing of the housing is nice when you take into account how many people will be living there and the ammount of cars would be on the road if there was no public transportation.
There's an entire Muni Metro light rail line running on the same street as this development. The T line goes into a subway under SOMA and downtown now. It takes about 10 minutes from Mission Bay to Chinatown via downtown. Caltrain is 10 minutes walking distance and gives you access to any notable destination all the way down to Gilroy, and soon to Salinas. You can also take a bus or Uber to the 16 street BART station if you don't want to take the T line and transfer at Powell.
Poorly served by transit this location is not!
@@TohaBgood2 That's what I'm talking about?
@@CoreyANeal2000 My bad 😁I'm too used to the trolls. Friendly fire!
Go SF!
Wow went from a parking lot to that 👍
Beautiful.
I wonder what the pricing will be. She mentioned low income... but that is usually loosely determined, Im looking through cl right now and even the lowest are still high
It might be through the lottery. Google apply for BMR units in San Francisco - and try to find that property.
yea Katie is correct, you need to apply and go through the lottery process for the BMR (below market rate) apartments. To be approved is usually determined on your income i think. If a person makes the average income for the city they won't be accepted, the person needs to make below the average...usually like 65-70% i think. But if u do score one of the apartments the rent is significantly lower than the average rent in SF so it is worth it if the person is approved
Low income, $300,000 for a 3 person family. 😅
@@Irish.liquorice Fo ril tho!
Love to see it!
More office space yay 🤣
Going to take 100 years to build to hunters point at this rate build faster
oh my 😢
Its got a nice view of the water, I'll grant that, but what about the view of the city streets with homeless, empty stores, vacant buildings, garbage.
Give it a rest.
Mission Bay is a clean neighborhood. Doesn’t have that issue.
It isn't like that all over SF.
This isn't the tenderloin
@kohort looks can be deceiving, places can look pretty but be dangerous
SF
There go the parking lots. Traffic congestion has arrived and is here to stay. Big time. Mission Bay, all concrete, all traffic, all of the time - the community-free neighborhood to avoid at all costs.
Do they lean to the side
You have to pay extra to get that feature 😂
Wow, more unaffordable condos and apartments that the people who already live here are priced out of before it was even built.
I love how nobody talks about how we need afordibal housing.
40% of the units are set aside for affordable housing… that’s much higher than a lot of other newer buildings.
There's the whole rest of the country.
Also the video literally mentions the affordable housing options.
Oh sorry.
@@anthonysnyder1152 2500 a month is not affordable for most people, it’s not what you’d call affordable at ALL
Coming back stronger than ever boy is she delusional
unhoused folks can have easy access to this wonderful waterfront development and they should not be denied.
Humans last
how many poops can you see from that vantage?
This is not the Tenderloin. This is a normal neighborhood.
What about all SF homeless are they all going to be moving inside
they can move to kansas where the rent is 10x cheaper. want a pretty view, live by an ocean? pay
My god you bigot, the proper term is Unhoused.
They can clean up and get a job
Move them to treasure island.
@@Vachelll no, they can stay in TL. Not the island
Did she say go in the water?? Lmao i’ve never seen anyone in that water my entire life. Cold and dirty🤢
I windsurf in the Bay all the time. There's a giant Marina and a windsurfing/kayaking/paddleboarding club that you can see from the window.
You must be new here. Swimming in the Bay is a long cherished SF tradition. You're not a local until you've tried it.
@@TohaBgood2 I was born and raised in the bay area. Theres definitely people who swim and windsurf in the bay but the water right off the att park is gross and i’ve never seen people hanging out in that water. You can have whatever club you want there it doesn’t change the experience. Cold and dirty. I’d rather go to Pacifica.
Wow 20% 🤣😂🤣😂 people get it together
All BS WHAT ABOUT OUR ELDERLY AND HOMELESS PEOPLE
Do your research.. there's actually plenty of housing for homeless. They just don't want to live in them because of the housing rules..
Going to sink in a few year.
the whole area was raised 5 ft to prevent just that. Watch the video.
Waterfront park for all 🤡
"You cant recreate this landscape anywhere" -- Butte Montana, Greenville SC, Asheville NC, Atlanta, Roanoke VA, Spokane WA, Binghamton Vermont, Johnson City TN, and many more, all lower cost, safer and cheaper with mountain views and hiking and most desparate for blue collar well paid workers. No, but its okay, a view of concrete is better choose SF
Yeah, but then you'd have to live in Butte Montana, Greenville SC, Asheville NC, Atlanta, Roanoke VA, Spokane WA, Binghamton Vermont, Johnson City TN. And who wants that?!
CrackRock
Isn't that water where the sewage pipe gets released lol
No
Lol, it's wildly illegal to release sewage into the Bay. If that ever happens due to a storm surge or accident then there's signs posted all over the place.
No.
They should put the homeless junkies in there lol
Are you Russian?
Lol, building on fill dirt. Its going to sink
Built to bedrock
@@californiamade5608 you're missing out on a great sale on refrigerators in Antarcitca.
Sad thing is how dangerous it is when you leaving the building
Huh? Have you even been to Mission Bay or Mission Rock? When has that area been dangerous?
Mission Bay isn’t a dangerous neighborhood lol.
San Francisco is dead. Let it go
Lol, still eating up that right wing propaganda 😁😁😁
You do understand that literally every SF local recognizes the three blocks in the Tenderloin that all those Fox News segments are shot on, right? 😁😁😁
Best city in the nation will bounce back.
San francisco is dead
