    Rockwell Blake mit Abstand der perfekteste Tenor aller Zeiten. Die stimmführung, der metallische und doch auch wieder weiche klang in der Stimme. Und der unendliche Atem!!! Es gab nie einen besseren ❤

    I am so pleased to see Santiago Ballerini included in this list. This is a man that I have had the pleasure of meeting several times and I once sang in masterclass that he gave at my university. He is an immensely talented and underrated present day tenor.

    Blake in questa aria è irraggiungibile. Note corpose, bellissimo crescendo, acuti limpidissimi, agilità e fiato infinito. Una tecnica perfetta. Poi il timbro di Florez è sicuramente più piacevole, ma nel complesso Blake è a mio parere il migliore

      Rocky is by Far the best here! Especially love the added D 😊😊😊
      Florez has high notes, and reasonable technique. However -- he is Not an actor, except at the end of Every Aria -- when he turns to the audience with the goofy "Aren't I Great?" Smile
      For me....Florez = yawn

    While I search constantly for a tenor who can come anywhere near to that of JDF, I continue to think he's a once in a lifetime or perhaps many a lifetime tenor. But Jihoon Son's voice grabbed my attention. The more I listen to him on RUclips the more I life him!

      I find Florez 2 dimensional as a character, with very little acting ability.
      He only smiles after he "shows off" his "big high note" at the end of a piece, as if to say "yep, I'm great"
      ....yawn

    Also, a fairly new tenor isn't in the list, namely Maxim Mironov.

    Rockwell tiene un fiato increíble. Pero el timbre que siento más bello es el de JDF. Rossini es para un ligero, de voz sin peso, ágil.

    • @pwg510
      @pwg510 Год назад +2

      Concordo. La voce è possente, ma non credo adatta al "bel canto" di Rossini. Secondo me occorre più grazia e dolcezza, senza far mancare gli acuti da tenore lirico leggero. Juan Diego Florez raggiunge il perfetto equilibrio fra virtuosismo e dolcezza.

      Two Chinese, two South Korean - how is that any different than “showcasing” two Americans? All four of the Asians have been major prize winners, have sung in major US and American houses, and are only in their early 30s. I also call balderdash on your performance practice comment.
