These classes are a wonderful way of teaching. I have a reading disability so the way you use the video view, back and top view really helps me. I own the r5 and I am saving in order to buy the r3. Thank you for teaching the classes this way.

Very, very usable and informative sample slice of an image to show the noise accumulation across different ISO settings. Just the kind of review -- of a very key feature -- that I needed to assist a purchase decision. Thank you.

If select a custom mode that you have created in the past, can you then add a white balance without blowing out the custom settings? Or. if you had two custom modes that affected mutually exclusive settings that don't overlap, could you stack them on top of each other, creating an additive set of settings?

What an absolutely fantastic resource, you have for us.
I have a question when it comes to ISO, is it possible to disable auto ISO? I have my ISO set to my control wheel and I always bump it to auto and it's etremely frustrating.

No, Auto ISO will always be an option. However a peculiar aspect of the dial should be explained. Spinning the dial to the low end of The ISO options will take you to Auto ISO, but only if the light meter indicator is not showing. If, however, you press the shutter release lightly to see your meter reading, the dial doesn't allow you to get to the Auto ISO setting. Another custom setting I fully explain in the full class (not this section/video) is how to program the lens control ring to adjust ISO settings, but only after a partial press the shutter release, it's a very cool and useful safety control.

@@JohnGreengoPhotography Ah, gotcha. Auto ISO is incredibly frustrating and is the only negative thing I have to say about this/other Canon cameras. Love it overall. Thanks for the thorough videos, I've learned a couple of things despite owning it since launch.
