    Rob Fabrie is a DJ and producer from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He’s active in the music scene for a very long time already and during the years he made tracks in all kinds of genres; hardcore, happy hardcore, gabber, techno, trance, house, hardhouse and more.
    Rob is known for tracks he made under names such as Waxweazle, The Headbanger, Gizeh, Stargate, he was involved with the very first release of the Euromasters, plus together with Richard van Naamen and Paul Elstak he was part of Holy Noise as well.
    I recently sat down with Rob for 2 interviews about some of the tracks he did with Holy Noise. Soon you will be able to see my interview with Rob in which we talk about the Holy Noise track “James Brown Is Still Alive”, but in this vlog you will hear the story behind the track “Get Down Everybody”.
    Rob tells more about the production of the track, how they came up with the name “Holy Noise”, working in the studio with Peter Slaghuis, what happend after the release of "Get Down Everybody", you will hear how Rob's project "Waxweazle" was born, he tells a bit more about his collabs with Peter-Paul Pigmans (3 Steps Ahead) and Ed Bout (Critical Mass). Plus you will also get to hear more about Rob’s work as a ghostproducer, we talk about his Gizeh project, the upcoming stuff with Franky Jones for their Jones & Stephenson project and of course you will get to know what else Rob is up to these days!
    I also did another interview with Rob, in which he tells the story behind the Holy Noise classic "James Brown Is Still Alive";

      Such a versatile artist. Waxweazle, Stargate, Bushwankaz, The Headbanger and Jones & Stephenson to name a few. Also he started the 3 steps ahead project with PPP. And a really nice down to earth guy. Do not underestimate his knowledge making music and certainly not the technical knowledge of music production. Hats off for Mr Fabrie!

    • @user-cx6lt2ej4h
      @user-cx6lt2ej4h 2 года назад

      I completely agree. 'The Noise' is the best Holy Noise track, and Enter The Darkness their best EP. Although i really love their album ''Organoised Crime'' from front to back since the early 90's. I am sad that the group split so quick and stop releasing brilliant Belgian techno hardcore like in 1991, and they got into awful gabber, but i guess they involved with the times, as Belgian techno didn't exist from 1992 and after. But i'm still glad that we have what we have from them, even for a small period of time.

    Rob problably made Hardstyle instead of Hard House/Nu-Nrg. It's totally a different genre. Listen to artists like Tony de Vit, Paul King, Steve Thomas, Pete Wardman, Ian M, The Tidy Boys, BK, Baby Doc, Dave Owens, Adam M, Captain Tinrib, DJ Karim, RR Fierce, OD404, Jon Doe, DJ Choci, Jon The Dentist, Nik Denton, Nick Sentience, Commander Tom, Frank Farrell, Andy Farley, Dave Randall, Ben Stevens, Paul Glazby, Mark Kavanagh et cetera for Hard House & Nu-Nrg.

Alle vocals staan stukken harder dan de achtergrond muziek, plus de vocals zijn zo bewerkt dat zo’n beetje alles even hard staat.
