  • A rocky home life lead to hostility and anger followed by toxic relationships and addiction later in life.
Single parent with hopes of being a good mom, student and employee. Introduced to crystal meth, Christin slid down a dark path of addiction and transporting drugs. After 10 months of police surveillance she was arrested. Before going to jail she signed over her son to her mother so he wouldn't be taken away by CPS.
While in jail she found out she was pregnant with a baby girl. Getting out of jail, Christin relapses leaving her kids with a babysitter for 3-4 days at a time. She ended up giving her daughter up for adoption upon the urging of family.
Shortly after she found out she was pregnant with another child. While in an abusive relationship, the state of Arizona took her rights away and given to her sister.
After her family was done with her, giving up on herself and hitting bottom for a year and a half. Losing all her rites as a mother.
Her story took a change and Christin ran toward recovery. Having not been allowed to see her kids for years she now has the ability to spend time with her children. Recovery has given her the self respect that she was missing all the years of addiction.

Addiction has the potential to take away anything from its captive. It is a glorious opportunity that you have to give the testimony.

I hate to project, but bipolar could also be an issue here. NOT judging, just desperate to spread awareness bc I was recently diagnosed(25y.o) & ALL of my EXTREMELY irrational behaviors (including addiction) now make a TON of sense! Before I even touched substances it was HORRIBLE choices w/ men/toxic codependency, getting involved in SERIOUSLY dangerous situations w/ very sketchy ppl & not giving a sh*t, impulsivity (knowing what I was doing was wrong but doing it anyways), s*icidal. All the things ppl shruc off as just “irresponsible” & was actually SEVERE mental illness that I never bothered to look into bc asking for help is seen as “weakness” in my family. Severe anxiety & depression led me to looking for ways to “take the edge off”. PLEASE, if u struggle w/ these things, DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP & GET YOURSELF CHECKED OUT! Despite how it feels, u are NOT alone❤️‍🩹

Addiction of drugs widens the gap in family. Steering clear from drug addiction is the best way.

Glory be to God because addiction couldn't take th away completely. It only took them from you for yours and their good.

This is all for you and your child good. At that stage you won't be able to raise them well.

One thing I have seen common in stories like this is this act takes away people.we love from us. That's really something we all doesn't want

Born and raised in Phoenix. They call it "Valley of the Spun" instead of Valley of the Sun for a reason... so much meth out here.

You are a very strong woman. Addiction can destroy a family, but ones there is recovery, it is possible for love to grow again.

Thank God for the grandmother who took it as a responsibility to take care of the boy. I can see how you would be able to care for him.

That was brave! Thanks for sharing what you have gone through and how you've fought it. Life has never been easy but if we are already mothers we need to think of our children first. Anyways, you have your own struggles in life and admire your strength.
