He also explains his recent tweet about missing Nicki, stating he was being honest and wishes they were together as the world discovers his talent, though it doesn't mean he wants her back.
Safaree also feels Nicki was content letting him play the background because according to him "no female who's with someone [is] gonna want their man to be put in the forefront when they weren't in the forefront the whole time." "Growing up around all women," SB says he knows that they have a hard time dealing with women throwing themselves at him.

Why are people so adamant that Nicki was the one that wronged him? In her Angie Martinez interview she said that he [Safaree] felt like he had missed his calling and wanted fame. But Nicki wanted to protect him and their relationship from the spotlight because it was something "real" that would be ruined if they were both famous. Before becoming famous they both knew their role and she just wished he kept his end of the deal. He didn't appreciate all the work she did to make sure he was comfortable. Plus there was the cheating rumours.
I say all this to say, they both probably fucked up and are equally to blame. Stop vilifying just Nicki.
