- The old forests of New England are loaded with history and much of it is visible in the rock walls and ancient cart paths. But a lot of it is also buried in the ground and that is why we explore and use the Fisher F19 metal detector . Today I went exploring way out there in the woods to see what we could find for the signs of colonial settlers and farmers being out here. At almost 2 miles out I finally care across old stone walls that appear to be boundary walls and not from farming. A quick look around and a great hike but lets go metal detecting. I found a loggers landing from the early 1900s and was digging up stuff they left behind when to my surprise I dug up a button at least 200 years old. Crazy but you never know what you are going to find metal detecting these old places.

The moss on the wall is so pretty! Cool button. Def go back.👍😘
Mossy wall. very picturesque and of course a very old button to complete a great Not Thursday.
Thanks for letting me hang out with you 😎!!! No matter how many times y'all have been through the woods and Backcountry; you are still finding things you never saw....👌🤓
Hi Charlie, that stone wall was awesome. So very old with the growth on it. I love the sound your shovel makes when digging into the ground. Great film 🎥 ing and sound. Mission accomplished. But-ton on this Not Thursday. Joyce ❤️🙏🇺🇸
Beautiful exploration. Thank goodness for metal detectors helping us to find traces of the past.
One thing I wish you would do is state the date of filming either in the actual video or in the description.
Wow a mission accomplished I wasn't expecting that. What a beautiful hike. Love the video. Thanks Charlie!!
Good hunt Charlie. I enjoyed this video alot. It's such an amazing place to explore. Looking forward to your next video. Take care.
Thank you for taking the time to produce great videos. I know it's gotta be a pain in the a** to constantly go back and get the camera. Lol. The end result is always a great video. The scenery is always beautiful. It always amazes me....finding things in the middle of nowhere. Makes you wonder just how much the land is really untouched. Seems like no matter where you go.....there's people stuff. For all I know, I'm sitting somewhere where someone lived in the 1600s. Never know.
Charlie, you said " where is here I'm not really sure" split my side. Love the videos brother
Good morning 😊👍👍👍👍
Will Charlie nice day for a walk 👍
The tree with the red mark slated for cutting?
My thoughts too
@@Huntnlady7 I don't think so. There is no path for skidding logs out of those woods.
Always a pleasure following your through these forests Charlie.😊
Looks like you step in something @ 3:24

Awesome! Still waiting to find my first stone wall in the woods. I have found an old homesite and dump but not colonial…yet!
