Hey Chad, enjoying keeping up with your progress. I have a question - do you think there is some connection with your past addiction and ability to commit to this journey. Is addiction your super power when applied to something like this trip?
Chad, I've been watching you on this journey since you were in Arizona. Then I back tracked to Venice to get caught up. You actually give me something to look forward to. I know everyday you will post and that makes my day. Thanks for all your effort. Keep chugging along my friend! Virginia or bust!

I'm 54 and trying to skate everyday. This journey is great inspiration. Going to the skatepark this afternoon. I don't doubt you'll still be doing it at my age. Keep pushing.
What you said right at the beggining about making the best of situations sounds so simple but it is 100% true and most people struggle with it. As a young man I blamed everyone and everything but myself for all my issues. Took me a long time and a lot of heart ache to realize I was the only person who was in control of my own mindset and it changed my life.
I bet your wheels were HAPPY to be back at a skatepark, "ahh! Things are back to normal." Awesome to see support show up and visit for awhile. 🐂🐃🐄 "Yo!"
Someone needs to develop a game where you play an audio clip of Chad saying "Yo! What up?" and you have to guess if he's saying it to a person or a farm animal.
This has become a great way to start the day, total motivation even if you are having a slow start like I am today. It’s hard to revisit a skatepark, I do it all the time when I am driving somewhere new. Lots to learn from this series , keep pushing to the target spot.
Yea cool. My hometown Memphis. Glad you found that bike bridge ramp. I was a little worried about your Mississippi River crossing. Crossing the Mississippi is a big milestone 👍🏼👍🏼 congratulations 🎈skaters welcome in Tennessee ❤
So sick of Josh Katz to meet up with you! You’re truly an inspiration Chad! Hope to skate with you someday 👊. Best of luck to you on the rest of your journey ✌️
Nice to see you skating that park in this video. When I started I just wanted to drop-in as a birthday challenge; it took me a couple of weeks to get it, but once I had it I couldn’t stop skating. So, I hit up your “10 easy ramp tricks” and set them as my goal. I had, but lost, backside rock-n-roll (will be trying after upcoming knee surgery) but I got and own everything else. Appreciate that “10 Easy Ramp Tricks” video beyond words. Stay safe, keep pushing.
Hey man. I hope your surgery went well. I’m not a Dr. but my best advice to you is DONT LAY AROUND ON THAT KNEE work it out like never before ! Don’t stop or it will atrophy and will make it so much worse. I speak from experience. I’m skating again but my quads atrophied on my left knee because I didn’t do enough exercise that they told me to do. It’s my fault but they didn’t really impress upon me how important the after care and the rehab is. You have to work that MOFO and build muscle or else you might as well have not had the surgery. Looks like this post was 5 months ago so I’m guessing your in recovery maybe. Bro. Work that knee over like it stole something from you ! Every other day man. It should burn and you should sweat from it. Good luck man. Knees suck. Mike.
@@michaeljohn8905 I appreciate this, thank you! I just passed 6 weeks since surgery. Had a piece of my torn medial meniscus removed and the lateral meniscus was shaved a bit to clean it up (some pics in my last skate video on my channel). Was back on the mini after 2 weeks, started running (slow) on the treadmill at 3 weeks, and have started goblet squats but you have me thinking that I should be working it a little more with the suggested exercises. I have to force leg-day at the gym but I really want to get a simple ollie dialed in while I am able. Thank you for this encouragement, I truly am grateful.
I haven't seen your channel up until like maybe a week ago and I just want to say.... It has put the icing on the cake as far as motivation to quit smoking weed. I'm sick of thinking I'm doing what I like while neglecting what I love.... Wasting days that turn into weeks, then months and years... Wasting money that we work hard for and spend so much of our life on... I'm not going to listen to those stupid thoughts anymore that convince me to pick it back up. No it doesn't ruin my life but it takes so much quality from life and convinces me to be content with it while I'm all clouded up... Thanks for focusing this on something with such a great purpose.
Really impressed with your mission Chad. Sharing this with all the boys. Watching those wheels deteriorate has me on edge. Your becoming an icon, enjoy the roll.
Running out of cows, gotta “yo” the birds and dogs now! Amazing that those wheels have 2,000 miles and can still pop tricks in a skatepark. And also, you’ll definitely be skating for decades to come. I picked up my first scooter at 48, and my first board at 50, and having way too much fun with both. Keep at it man; we Long Islanders are a tough breed!
love youre view on motivation , it helped me to become a master at my work , i did every shitty job with a positive attitude to learn whatever i can get out of it and now i own my business and love my work everyday.
