The departure of CB Ty Law and DE Willie McGinest via free agency hurt us pretty bad in that 06 playoff loss But I’ll admit Peyton manning was kicking out butt and carried his team
Unfortunately as a Pats fan, this was the pinnacle of the rivalry. Anyone whoever tells me that New England always gets breaks, I will hit the ceiling.
I know right, The colts got the big breaks in this game, especially with that b.s pass interfience on ellis hobbs. I was hoping that challenge on the jabar gaffney touchdown would have cost them the game cause they lost a timeout.
Did you forget how the Patriots held on every pass play in that 2003 game against the Colts and it literally led to the league telling the refs to emphasize that the next season? The next time you hate a ticky-tacky PI call, you can thank the 2003 Patriots for that. That game resonates today with the league emphasizing that. The next season was nothing but PI/defensive holding calls BECAUSE of that game. Look it up.
@@jeremyn2626 No doubt. You’re right about that game. I don’t complain about calls because ticky tacky call happen in all Sports. But, I have a question, how do you explain 20-3 the next year? As Tedy Bruschi says, “you wanna change the rules change ‘em, and we win”.
At times i share your frustration but they played pretty good against the run all throughput those playoffs...yes the Patriots ran it pretty good against us, especially early on, we still held them under 100 yards for the game iirc and we were averaging 67 yards a game against the rush going into that game(in the playoffs)...I think the Bears did have just over 100 rushing in that SB however it was terrible weather that day in Miami if you remember, so i would expect a lot of yards on the ground from both teams...that said I do clearly remember the Bears having a pretty balanced offensive plan regardless of the weather(which i think was a huge mistake on their part) where as we went with a very run heavy offense which obviously paid off...I'm from Indianapolis and live here today but i lived in Florida for 20 years and was in Miami for that game with my buddy who coincidentally is from Chicago...so I remember that day like it happened last week. I still consider that AFC Championship THE game that year though considering I still can feel all the emotions I felt while watching it live when i think back on it. Well, minus the stress of course since i know the outcome.
It's hilarious to say a team like the Patriots could've or should've won more, but they easily could've won 10 SB's. If they win this game, they beat Chicago. Before people bring up Eli or Foles, you can't tell me with a straight face REX GROSSMAN would've beaten this team.
I love how that AFC game in 2003 - the Patriots act like they were better - but THAT game is why the refs call so much PI and defensive holding today. If you recall, after the Patriots literally held on EVERY pass play in that game, the league told the refs to make an emphasis on that the next year. I love how people forget that, just like they forget that the late 90s Broncos cheated to get to a Super Bowl. The next season, PI and holding calls were up. Geez, I wonder why? GEE, I FUCKING WONDER WHY?
I grew up in the in the area, the Patriots were almost as bad as the devil in our house. When Marlon intercepted the ball to end the game, we ran out in the street banging pots and pans together. People had stopped their cars on the shoulder of the road and were hugging.
I remember this game like it was yesterday. Unbelievable Colts comeback.
Best colts patriots game
Not
@@JJA1987 Pats fan? Sorry
Reggie Wayne losing the ball in the air was like time standing still. I'm yelling Nooooo thank God he brought it back in.
Wouldn’t have mattered because there was a penalty on the Pats on the play.
What often gets forgotten on that Reggie loose ball play is that the Patriots were called for roughing the passer on the same play
Love these old NFL films upload more !
3 big man scores in one game lol
Just realized Marlin Jackson made the first play of the game and the last
Awesome video.

The fumble wouldn't have counted due to the fact that the Patriots had a penalty

im reminded about how abysmal the colts were at stopping the run lol. infuriating

How many "gates" were they involved in?

Peyton Manning and his little bro Eli stopped the evil empire 3 times.
They shouldn’t have been in all the Super Bowls they were in. Many games were tilted in their favor.
@@JoeSmith-hv7oe 5 times if you count the 2 afc title wins in denver.

@jeremyn2626
The referees were 10x as bad fixing the game for the Colts here.
Explain to me 20-3 the next year. Do you just blame the refs for that one too?
Saltyyyy
Lol bill belichick was never a genius. He was carried by brady.
That's more obvious now than when this documentary was produced.
