Apple makes the best smartphones period. my iphone 6 plus received an iOS security update yesterday ( iOS 12.5.7 ) even though it has been 9 years. Apple is basically u get what u pay for, and if u have the money to afford a premium flagship device i would 100% advice u to purchase an iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max. Android is only worth like maximum 300 i would say.
Also backmarket is a good and legit site ( always depends on the seller, ReMarket is a good one for Europe ) for refurbished iphones, i can get an iPhone 7 for 106.00€ rn.
Androids don't get enough updates but they are more comfortable to use.. Have more features than iPhone’s.. I would easily pick a Redmagic 8 Pro / ROG 6 / S23 Ultra over 14 Pro or Max.
the whole focus is in RAM, if there were 2-4 gigs, then 6 plus would work just as fast! phones did not specifically add memory so that they would buy more powerful phones, although they would put 4 gigs on 6+, it would even work faster only at a price 50 times cheaper!

Honestly, I prefer the iPhone 6 design. The new iPhones look like every other phone.
theres nothing to update anymore, OLED screen, 4k, 120hz, thin bezels thats all.
The 6 plus will remain one of my favorite phones ever however I expected this outcome the difference is huge!!!! But nothing currently beats the 14 pro in speed

My parents like the small design so I got them both the 2020 se 1-2 years ago in the future I might upgrade them to the se 2022 or the iphone 12/13 minis

Im not sure, if you should compare this two generations. I have 6s plus as new, 8years and still it is good mobile, but you cant compare speed betwen 2 and 6 gb ram and absolutly different processor, display…6s plus is still good mobile, only one reason if you should buy newest mobile gadget, if you want newest apple watch, maybe secure to the future, beckause last ios update is 15. … but some little updates are still downloadable… i update to the 14 pro and it is so big different, but 6 is still good mobile, but evolution you can feel from every side.
But now the apps are larger and harder to run. Back then it proabably felt way faster.

Guys, calm down, hes just opening apps, that’s the minimum you ask a mobile for. Try more demanding usage like playing games or something and you will see how the 6 its not that much good now
U did the ram managment test wrong. U had to open backwards to see till When the 6 could hold the apps open

It is Apple's patches that deliberately cause older models to run more slowly. It is not the battery that heats up the device but the processor, and the processor is not really aging.

cause of other improvements such as battery life, display quality, speaker clarity and volume, camera quality and different lenses, better design, waterproof rating etc etc. also the iPhone 6 was notorious for bad build quality and flexion based damage, please don't recommend it to people in 2023
