This is absolutely nuts Isaac! I thought I was crazy or lucky because I have on rare occasions lived from a fall that should have killed me because I was too close to a structure or tree and couldn't pull my chute. I'll probably look like stonemountain64 for a week, but I need to get this all down before its "fixed" lol. You're the best man!

Ironically I stopped using mountaineer today to try some other things and noticed when I accidentally jumped off control roof I didn’t “break my legs”
Another bad ass video from the goat himself!! The founder of FPSHub personally optimizes ALL of my PC’s and hands down he’s literally the best in the business!! I use Art is war audio and the only thing that sucks about ANY audio upgrades is the games directional audio. Nothing in the world can make that sound better! Directional audio sucks but just listen to how their footsteps sound and what material they’re walking on

I knew metaphor was hiding tech like this. Noticed this in his gameplay but couldn’t figure out why he wouldn’t die
But he does it since quite some time, he knew it for a long time
Metaphor hides a lot of things.
You could avoid pulling your chute since the game launched IF it was within a certain threshold. As mentioned in this video, I covered how to do this a few months ago.
However, with this latest mountaineer/fall damage buff/nerf, it got INSANE and I haven't seen anyone using it to this extent.

I don’t think Meta knows to what extent though cuz he’s still pulling his parachute like the rest of us at times. But if he learns this, pray to god we don’t run into him in solos lmao

Now that realism is out of the window can we please also get rid of random recoil patterns and visual shake etc?
Recoil is fine IMO but visual shake needs to be reduced a lot and mw2 weapons need to be overhauled to be more in line with mw3 weapons. However the same issue is probably gonna happen again once bo6 integration happens

Wow this was great. And the hub thing I used it. The pc optimization worked great. I did not however get the benefit of the audio tune. I heard people just hear differently and what’s good for someone might not be good for another. But they did refund me my money for the audio. But I appreciated this video and the discount for the pc tune up. Thanks again.

After dying quite often to fall damage I stopped pushing to the limits after redeploying etc. But damn, these news will change the game! Thank you for figuring this out and taking the effort of sharing it with us 😊
If you go to 100m(or however high the crane is) you could full dive down then divide 100 by the time it took you to splat. That would be your base full dive velocity, then do it with the pull back and divide that time; rinse repeat and we could possibly figure out the exact velocity required to not take damage

So I been doing this for a while with mountaineer but I’ve never checked the meters. What I didn’t know was possible was doing it off the rip of a game without mountaineer. That’s good to know

You start with the display and try to push it as best you can with the budget you have.
If you are good at the game get ready for shadowbans
Depends entirely on your budget. Far as graphic cards go, a 40 series nvidia card or w/e it's called, is going to be pretty top of the line. Even if it's a 4060. You don't really NEED a 4080 or 4090 and they're very expensive. For AMD you can look up the equivalents to the 40 series cards and go from there.
Just depends on what you want your computer to do. Do you want 1080p gaming or 1440p? Do you wamt 250+ frames? With a 240hz monitor? Or is a 144hz monitor good? Do you play other games besides FPSs where 4K is a viable option?

Isaac please make a quick video on how to PRD animation cancel. I can't figure out how to do it consistently if at all. I think it's Y Y Melee Melee > PRD at the same time and you fly with your gun up but I don't see anybody else talking about how to do this online. Shifty and Biffle and other streamers can do it consistently and I must know how!

Just melee a fraction before you use the PRD mate and that’s it, sometimes bugs you into doing a melee when you land also just bare in mind

The way I do it is I press my PRD button for me it is r1 + x, then IMMEDIATELY press circle, i can't do it consistently but can do it around 7/10 times

They’ve nerfed mountaineer. I landed on a building from a zip line balloon and took half of my health
I hit a reploy deploy drone the other day to top of prison and couldn't pull the shoot as I was landing on someone, I survived with no perk package and won the gunfight. I clipped it as I thought it was strange.

Is there a minimum amount of time you have to pull back or can you just pull back for a second at the end?
I think it's dependent on height (and whether you have mountaineer). Minimal vertical travel? Not necessary at all. Major drop? Better safe than sorry.

@@Zack-dw5opI was thinking this too. Top of prison on skinny end is only place I can think of w/o Mountaineer you'll die when you jump off. Excluding the obvious towers ofc. I'll be testing this for sure if it's still death w/o Mountaineer whenever Rebirth Lockdown comes back. Hopefully Thursday...

I suppose you mean horizontal velocity? Because the total velocity does not seem to change much as you are still dropping vertical at the same speed.
I've been rocking Moutaineer in most of my loadouts but this fall damage mechanic is crazy.😂 Definitely gonna be abusing this mechanic, especially on the Resurgence maps

I've failed to pull my chute at times out of a redeploy and didn't die for a few weeks. I couldn't figure out why, but was glad. I know I got accused of cheating once by landing on a roof on a team and they were like, "Hey, he didn't even pull his chute, what's up with that?" lol. I'm guessing I'm pulling back at the end in a panic and it's been saving me.

On big map I hit a redeploy drone never pulled my parachute and lived lol
I did the same when landing on high grounds, but never when landing low. And I always pulled my chute when jumping/diving off a high ground building. Not anymore 😅

When in looking at this, I wonder if it's based on Body damage.
Like when you drive head first, you knock yourself, but when you belly flop it's lower body damage . . . 🤔🧐

Okay after playing this game for so long, i did always wonder why fall damage was super inconsistent feeling and this is EXACTLY why. I had accidently pulled my hands back several times and survived through organic gameplay. Well holy shit.

Free fall, no diving(hands back) = 100m above you don't die

You keep saying pull back your hands but how do you do that? Whenever I pull my shoot and cut it, it always shows my guns
This is so cool, although I'd still rather they just nerf fall damage in general rather than needing a perk, also either way the parachut animation is one of the slowest in the game and needs to be drastically quicker imo

I feel like sleight of hand is also fixed, I picked up weapens and perks from a bot that i killed and his guns were reloading so freakin fast but he had soh in the first slot, i put mine in the second slot and i feel like it did not work for me. So theres a catch to it! So einstein go to work hehehe
How do you slow down using controller? How do you pull your hands back?
