    The Philippines are in the tropics, so heavy rains can be expected from time to time. I would not be surprised to learn that this current situation is being exacerbated by El Nino. It makes me wonder how Mayon is affected by passing typhoons!

    imagine the climate was changing due to excess CO2 and bringing more and heavier rain, raising water tables and increasing ground water setting off more eruptions releasing more CO2 bringing more rain and raising water tables and setting off more eruptions releasing more CO2 and etc etc. oh wait....
