My favorite feature on the 2016 e-golf is that it still requires you to reset the oil trip on the dash every 10,000 miles just as the gas gold requires:)). It’s still a great little commuter car.

These machines are also sort of optimised to focus power above the plate. I tried to put something under plate to get 10cm higher and it was much less heated than normally. I suggest to brign rotating plate next time. Bon Appétit :)

Test driving an eGolf almost kept me from buying electric. It was as slow as my '93 Impreza, or worse, and that range sucked.
After it I tried a Fiat 500e which was even worse. I had 50 miles of range, then turned on the AC and had 30 miles of range displayed. It wasn't as quick as hyped, and even for a guy like me who likes smaller cars (or just doesn't like the gigantic SUVs and trucks that dominate here) it was tiny.
Then I tried a Bolt and fell in love. Now that the honeymoon is over I recognize that 'Beverly' has faults, but she's still mine till she dies (probably).
Caveat: This was years ago. I've gotten over range anxiety, mostly, and I could probably live with a 100 mile car nowadays if I had to. It's nice being able to drive up and visit my fam for the holidays without having to stop though.

Maybe the closest would be a compression test, but that definitely cannot give you anywhere near a specific health value like most EVs can, and it still can't predict that the day after you buy it a catastrophic failure may occur like transmission dying or a bearing spinning because it felt like it.
