  • The Rockstage is a 4 in 1 effect box offering chorus, distortion, delay, and reverb! The sounds combined are perfect for Zakk Wylde, EVH, and any other heavy rock and metal tones! It also has a built in cab sim for going direct or into a PA system. Let me know what you think below!
    Rockstage - amzn.to/344wsHz

    The elec guitar is a Gibson 1960s tribute with an M&V Humbucker in the bridge and a stock Gibson p90 in neck.

    The amp is a Tyler Amps JT14, which sounds similar to a vintage Fender Princeton but with a little more low end and body!

    Thanks for actually demoing this effect, and not hiding it under layers of backing tracks, or spending the entire video "showing off". THIS is how an effect demo video should be done. We can actually HEAR it!

    definitely one of the best reviews of this. as others have said, just the device, each effect is shown seperately first, and you show more what can be done with effects, than purely playing full on solo's. Great playing and demo-ing :)

    I loved your other vid on this pedal so I’ll just add that I agree that it sounds fantastic as a direct to PA option. Great demo playing and useful comments! I’m currently using a Boss ME-80 in preset mode but as a backup, this could work very well with just one additional pedal, probably a low gain overdrive. Thanks for a great video!

    Based on this review (thanks again!), I purchased one of these effects processors. You have no idea how small it actually is until you get the box, open it, and realize that nearly 1/4 of the box is taken up by the included power supply. The effects are every bit as good as demoed here, and can even do things not shown in this video. The delay can repeat so fast at it's maximum speed setting that it can be used as a second reverb if desired. The chorus can rotate so slowly that it nearly stands still, while greatly thickening the sound. The distortion can be used as an absolutely clean boost and/or additional tone control at it's lowest gain setting. For what this costs, it's a must-have.

      Aaron J Livecchi the chorus, delay, and reverb sounds nice. My only reservation from pulling the trigger on one is how good the distortion. Hope to see more reviews/demo on it like yours. Thanks!!!

    Can the Rockstage be adjusted to imitate the sounds of David Gilmore? I am totally new to guitars and apologize if it's a stupid question. I noticed the Rockstage seems to have the same effects of a pedal costing 3 times as much, but that's as far as my observations take me. Thank you for your time.

    • @aaronjlivecchi
      @aaronjlivecchi  4 года назад

      Hard to say. With some tweaking you could probably get a little bit there.

    • @aaronjlivecchi

      deltafour1212 to my understanding no. The output is for going to an amp or direct.

    would it perform OK when using an acoustic guitar with built in active pickup ?

    • @aaronjlivecchi
      @aaronjlivecchi  6 лет назад

      mckinstray the distortion probably wouldnt sound good with an acoustic. But the reverb, delay, and chorus could prob sound ok with it. The cab sim toggle is really more about going direct with an electric guitar to simulate an electric amp. And it Probably wouldnt be needed with an acoustic in a PA.
      Hope that helps!

      I run the sonicake through my effects loop and my drive pedals through the front. I use the amp's OD channel or with it clean and an OD pedal. I'm not a big fan of the Rockstage's drive channel....but going direct into a PA it's pretty good.

    What about the sonicake black hammer?

    • @aaronjlivecchi
      @aaronjlivecchi  6 лет назад

      Sergio Rincón I haven’t had any personal experience with that one. I’d imagine it’s build quality is similar. Just more tailored to higher gain needs. But more modern metal stuff. Not the 80s vibe this pedal is.

    • @sergiodanielpr
      @sergiodanielpr 6 лет назад +2

      For sounds like Megadeth, Dream Theater or something like that, this sonicbar rockstage would be fine? My amp is a Laney Cub series

    • @aaronjlivecchi
      @aaronjlivecchi  6 лет назад

      Sergio Rincón the gain amounts may not be MegaDeath level. Close. Maybe throw a boost in front of this to take you there. Or a super low gain drive.

  • @jasonlewis2483
    @jasonlewis2483 6 лет назад +1

    How durable is the pedal? Could it be played daily at home and then carried out to a venue 2-3 times per month? I looked online and it was only around $75-80. Everything else close to this in functionality is $100-300.

    • @aaronjlivecchi
      @aaronjlivecchi  6 лет назад +2

      Jason Lewis I can’t say I’ve gigged with it a ton. A fair amount of use at home however. It does feel very sturdy. That was actually something I noticed when I first picked it up. It didn’t feel cheap. If you know what I mean? Hope that helps.

      The other alternative would be something like a Zoom MS-50G which is smaller and much more versatile but less straightforward and not so easily tweakable. Sound quality is similar. I have the Sonicake Twiggy Blues and the Zoom: both have their uses

  • @sonicsega1699

    eh i returned this pedal after a month. the gain was very noisy through amp and i didn't like how the chorus was put first so if u wanted to use other pedals, was a bad idea. my only problem with these type of pedals is that they dont wanna be shared with other pedals, inotherwords u get what u paid for.
