Nah, that's just your nostalgia talking. Mobile games kind of sucked back in early 2010s, too. There were a lot of interesting and creative games and the industry did show promise but for the most part, the market has always been an ad-ridden micro-transaction infested hellhole, it just got worse with time cause all that promise and potential got flushed down the toilet.

There's another Asphalt game you forgot: Asphalt Xtreme. On the Project Cars thing, well, the devs of PC, SlightlymadStudio, messed up their latest release called PC3 and things went downhill for the studio from then on. Personal take, I actually kinda like Forza streets. There's not much function for the game, but the vibe and how the game looks feels clean and modern, fits the tone of the game. Even when the control is just pressing the spacebar, it's still looks pretty good to see a car turning around in those corners. And the customizations are decent even when it doesn't go as far as full-on spoilers and bodykits. Maybe, and just maybe, Turn10 could make a proper racing game with the atmosphere and story of Forza Street, not just with a spacebar throttle.

I know it's not a car racing game but I played Traffic Rider a lot when I was little. And Asphalt 9 has been removed from Play Store. I have heard that it has been replaced with Asphalt Unite
Asphalt overdrive is one i will miss for sure. Game was a nice "infinite racer" - subway surfer kind of game, but with cars. Simple premise of having to weave in and out of lanes to avoid traffic, obstacles, police... It did suffer the gameloft curse of needing "gas" to do a lot of stuff, with wait times in various places, or the option to play ads to either double your score, money or speed up the refilling process. With rather nice music and 80s styling. Shame to see it gone, as it was a game i replayed constantly. I think last time i tried it was around.. 2019 maybe... Alas.
Seeing someone even mention Drag Racing: Club Wars is so heartwarming, lol. Been playing that a lot because i was a racing games freak when i was younger.

8:37 I believe that is referring to Last december 1st (2023). That message has been showing up for a long time now, probably since last october, and I'm pretty sure it's just a generic message referring to it being delisted on the play store as the servers still kinda seem functional as of right now. EDIT: By some coincidence it looks like the servers are now gone completely, as of sometime within eight days of writing this comment. The game crashes when it attempts to connect to the servers now, and you can only play it offline. I launched the game with wifi turned off, did a race and it ran fine, but as soon as I turned my phones wifi back on and tried to do an event, it threw an error and then force quit the app.
This brought back some memories! I also remember playing DrawRace 2, Ridge Racer Slipstream, Asphalt Xtreme, Fast & Furious Takedown, GTI EDITION 35 and Rally the World. The Game. , all of those dont exist anymore.
15:12 asphalt nitro 2 is a real game that was "released" around 3 years ago, but never in an official way for some reason. It had 2 tracks which were reskins of asphalt 9 tracks.

W mans for mentioning my whole childhood, used to spend hours playing raging thunder 2, angry birds go and almost zeroed nitro nation stories, too bad its delisted i would go back and play it just for the kicks lmao
I played Forza Street I love the fact that we were in Miami The vibe was awesome Songs and Ui were good The sound of cars was also really good The main problem is that we can't buy cars and we also can't control the car Races were short and in cinematic style It's a wasted potential Imagine a Forza Horizon set in Miami on Mobile It could've been great Recently, we got CSR 3 It's basically the same but less cool in so many ways especially the vibe
I loved the first GT Racing: Motor Academy. It was a top tier mobile racing sim of its time with fun progression and huge car list as if Gran Turismo is ported into mobile. I would argue it was better than its sequel during its peak; the collaboration event with Redbull F1. Also, I adore the Hyundai Edition version of the game too. Sad to see both went away due to architecture incompatibility. Some other games from my childhood that you missed includes Need For Speed Shift (+Hot Pursuit), Fast Five, Real Racing 2 (it’s much better than 3), 2K Drive (for the iOS, extremely underrated), ACR Drift (OG tap racing game), and Drift Spirits (probably the greatest tap racing game ever).
I still play the Drift Spirits game, in JP, it's going really strong, Also drift girls was sad to go, it was a korean game that's was a Drift Spirits Clone, with partially dating sim Another kinda drift spirits clone: Racing Empires on IOS / Android but without all the waifu stuff
@@matthewl5434 Yes! The C3 Picasso was such an iconic car of that game. I had mine in lime green and will always use it for a joyride in France Raceway. I believe it was the only game to have that car, too.
When you mention racing games with weapons, it reminds me of Road Warriors, it was awesome. I used to struggle against that boss who used EMP on their car Asphalt 6 also good, i used to lust over vehicles like DS Survolt and you can modify your garage with cars you want to display
There is another mobile game that I used to play a lot. It was also a tap racer, but this was an actual good one, as you had to manage braking zones on your own. The game takes place in japan on the touges and you are racing AI or other players down or up the mountain. The graphics were CRISP and I played it WAY back in 2014 or something like that. I've tried to look for it but I can't find it. This was a game on IOS, dunno if it ever was on android.
There were also two Drift spirits games: the first one is Drift girls, yup, a Drift Spirit Clone but with waifus The second one is called Racing Empires on IOS / Android, which is probably closer to Drift spirits without the silly waifus stuff
Despite F&F games (6 and Legacy) being chocking cash grabs by Universal Pictures, those games had nice atmosphere and, in some cases, curious racing systems.
Bro seeing sports car challenge is so nostalgic. I used to play that _all_ the time on my iPhone 3GS which I still have btw and it somehow still works lol.
Well, Re-Volt got delisted from google play store and app store because some korean company purchase the game's ip and it makes a lot more worse, so they decided to delisted it. If you wanna play Re-Volt, go play the RVGL, the rewrite of Re-Volt
@@xXVibrantSnowXx The game actually still has quite an active community. You can play it by using RVGL. FYI, the mobile version that WeGo Interactive published on back then was using a stolen community patch code. They acquired the IP from original owner and turn it into a shitty mobile port instead.
I did play Adrenaline Racing Hypercars!! Very fun game for sure. And the soundtrack was wonderful. Its still the only racer on phones ive seen that can give Asphalt a run for its money.
I was surprised to see Indestructible mentioned, it didnt really have any racing in it, but as a kid who played Burnin Rubber 3 a ton, I loved car combat games, so I played Indestructible a ton on my first phone.
There is one racing game that needed to be mentioned. Re-Volt. Yeah, the classic RC racing game from 1999 actually had a mobile release called Re-Volt Classic
Don't play that one and use RVGL instead. It used a stolen code made by the community. WeGo Interactive acquired the IP and turn it into mobile junks like Re-Volt 2 & 3. It's an illegal port and was successfully taken down on GOG for PC version back then. The game still has an active community and you should check that one instead.
GT Racing is probably the most memorable one I had ever experienced during my childhood... it's sad that they had to close the servers most likely because of license and being outdated
10:20 I Greatly miss Racing Rivals as well! Missed my Scion TC, BMW M2 and most importantly, my Subaru WRC! 👌 I did some research on it recently and found out that the devs decided to shut it down because the game "got too costly to maintain and keep running".. Maybe the revenue dropped as well and made things even tougher. But it would be amazing if RR somehow revives in the future! (I highly doubt it would tho...unless it's updated to match the trends nowadays, which may be a good thing or a "bad" thing 😅)
Racing rivals was cause of money issues apperently. I remember my whole crew stayed up late as we could. I also remember how I used to buy rare crate cars and hand them out. They always wanted my 599xx evo but I never gave it away haha. I miss those guys
Honorable mention: Drift Girls was really good game made by a korean company, for some odd reason, it got pulled off and ended support, then it was handed to a chinese company, it was Drift Spirits Clone but with Waifus
One of the best mobile racing game i ever played is Road Warrior by mobjoy now known as rusty harpy. The game existed since 2011 or so (based what i can find on the dev fb page) to around 2016 from what i've heard when it got taken down, it a 2d game where you do barrel rolls and shoot other racers. You can upgrade your cars for more responsive barrel roll, speed, guns and protections (there's also a storyline where after you defeated each of the boss you get their unique cars which is non-upgradable). You can still download the game if you have the ipa or apk file of the game
Adrenaline Racing hypercars was a goat of its time. I am glad I was able to play it when it was around and I gotta tell... No game felt this good The soundtrack and the tracks were really awesome... The atmosphere felt really good It was actually competing with asphalt back in the day but due to skylicht technologies not having enough budget for them had to shut it down and remove all their games from the playstore But the developers are back with a new game called racing legends funzy
I feel like Real Racing: GTI (basically a version of the original Real Racing game but having only Golf GTIs) and GT Racing Academy (iirc a modified version of the original GT Racing) should be honorable mentions- I've had endless memories playing those on my Dad's Iphone 5 back in 2013-2016. Good Times.
gt racing is quite literally what i would describe the epitome of my childhood happiness. once it stopped development was also around the time i stopped feeling like a kid
In case you were wondering, before the Forza Street namesake, it was initially named Miami Street by developer Electric Square. It was rebranded to Forza Street in 2019, but really, it was thr same thing underneath the new look.
Thx for the video, I had no idea so many of these games were already delisted goddamn. Mobile stores really don’t help cause they force you to update to newer APIs as time goes on which is terrible. But the worst thing is making the games unplayable because of servers, like cmon dudes! Such a waste.
If you ever do a part 2, please do AG Drive. It's an old F-Zero style singleplayer racer from 2015-ish made by ZORG Entertainment. The gameplay... could be better, but the atmosphere is great and the soundtrack is phenomenal. A version of the game running through an emulator is available on the Google Play store, and as it is not always online the thing still runs.

Asphalt nitro 2 is actually fun lol, its basically asphalt 9, but more device and storage friendly with only around 25-90 mb to download (comparing to Asphalt 9 which had around 9 GB sotrage)
Man i used to grind on that leaderboard with my Konigegg one:one (sry for the spelling). Found memories
@@highoncyanide8023 wait, Koenigsegg one:1 is available in AN2?

I still have it, S23Ultra
oh shit
i forgot completely about gt racing 2
that was such a good game gameplay wise ngl
really had good physics and thing
i think i downloaded it because i wasnted a game like real racing 3 that was smaller
but i think i still deleted it to redownload rr3 XDD
real racing 3 will probably always be my favourite mobile racing game tho
the original game mode tho
not all the new stuff
also forza street
i was so hyped for a forza mobile game
then we got that :/
I remember some racing mobile games by Bandai namco, the one which the gimmick was you could draw in the entire track map how the car could move, and you just had to drift when the game starts
But I don't remember the name.
(edit: nevermind, ridge racer draw and drift)
Why does that developer name sound similar

3:16 Sports Car Challenge was the first racing game I saw on youtube but, I unfortunately coudn't play it because it costed money and my parent's financial situation back in 2012 wasn't that great.
Raging Thunder 2 is nostalgic, I remembered that time when my dad bought out our very first tablet he even installed it way back 2014.
RT2 and RT solos all these other games
I missed Race Kings so much, I invested a lot of time into it and I really liked it.
GT Racing 2 was my childhood.
It made me love cars, and I will never forget about it.
❤
15:12 asphalt nitro 2 is a real game that was "released" around 3 years ago, but never in an official way for some reason. It had 2 tracks which were reskins of asphalt 9 tracks.
And the entire game its a a reskin of Asphalt 9 but smh better imo
No brother, it's good to have found you, your video reminded me of many games that I played at the time and over time I forgot their names but in my memory I remembered what great games they were, race king, racing rivals, nitro nation stories, thanks for the video man, I'm super happy to have seen this video, greetings from Argentina.

I played Forza Street
I love the fact that we were in Miami
The vibe was awesome
Songs and Ui were good
The sound of cars was also really good
The main problem is that we can't buy cars and we also can't control the car
Races were short and in cinematic style
It's a wasted potential
Imagine a Forza Horizon set in Miami on Mobile
It could've been great
Recently, we got CSR 3
It's basically the same but less cool in so many ways especially the vibe
Agreed. Forza Street wasn’t that bad overall. I found myself actually enjoying it a lot and I played it all the way to the end of its life cycle.
@@jinsangyang4110 literally me
I was playing Gear Club on my switch literally an hour ago, not only is my pc reacting to my searches, its reacting to what I do on other consoles!
I still play the Drift Spirits game, in JP, it's going really strong, Also drift girls was sad to go, it was a korean game that's was a Drift Spirits Clone, with partially dating sim
Another kinda drift spirits clone: Racing Empires on IOS / Android but without all the waifu stuff
@@xXVibrantSnowXx I only played the global server at the time and didn't touch the JP version. I eventually moved on from that subgenres though.
I remember playing Motor Academy and loading my garage with nothing but Citroen C3 Picassos, certainly a time that was
@@matthewl5434 Yes! The C3 Picasso was such an iconic car of that game. I had mine in lime green and will always use it for a joyride in France Raceway.
I believe it was the only game to have that car, too.
When you mention racing games with weapons, it reminds me of Road Warriors, it was awesome. I used to struggle against that boss who used EMP on their car
Asphalt 6 also good, i used to lust over vehicles like DS Survolt and you can modify your garage with cars you want to display
Asphalt Nitro is Basically Asphalt 9 Lite
I played it
It's offline
Zero micro transactions
Really fun
But i wish the sounds were like Asphalt Nitro 1

I have found my channel...I love to discuss about these games as I remember them all by heart.
Subscribed.
It was drifting spirits
@@Goddrifter Which to my knowledge still works, but you have to download the Japanese version as the international server was shutdown long ago.
@@doabarrellroll69 not gonna, still missed that game til this day, almost finished the story mode as well….
There were also two Drift spirits games: the first one is Drift girls, yup, a Drift Spirit Clone but with waifus
The second one is called Racing Empires on IOS / Android, which is probably closer to Drift spirits without the silly waifus stuff
MMX Racing was my pure childhood mobile game, not the hill climb version.
Also Olzhass's parking sims getting removed and re-released

Did anyone here ever play Rival Gears Racing, you know before its servers were shut down
Oh I know that game, online game best
Its a drag racer?
@@Chłopiecgg no it's duel race
The racing game no one wanted, but everyone needed
Racing Empires on IOS / Android was also pretty decent

I Greatly miss Racing Rivals as well! Missed my Scion TC, BMW M2 and most importantly, my Subaru WRC! 👌
I did some research on it recently and found out that the devs decided to shut it down because the game "got too costly to maintain and keep running"..
Congrads on 3.5k subs man keep it up the good work🎉
Honorable mention: Drift Girls was really good game made by a korean company, for some odd reason, it got pulled off and ended support, then it was handed to a chinese company, it was Drift Spirits Clone but with Waifus
Perfect shift ,race kings and mmx racing were the most memorable ones to me, even though i didnt play mmx racing as much as the other two games
Thank you so much, ive been searching for these games, i appreciate your research man, God bless❤
Till this day I still miss GT Racing Motor Academy and I used to play Real Racing 2, Raging Thunder 2, and Reckless Racing those were good games.
No game felt this good
The soundtrack and the tracks were really awesome... The atmosphere felt really good
It was actually competing with asphalt back in the day but due to skylicht technologies not having enough budget for them had to shut it down and remove all their games from the playstore
But the developers are back with a new game called racing legends funzy
I feel like Real Racing: GTI (basically a version of the original Real Racing game but having only Golf GTIs) and GT Racing Academy (iirc a modified version of the original GT Racing) should be honorable mentions- I've had endless memories playing those on my Dad's Iphone 5 back in 2013-2016. Good Times.
R.I.P Road Warriors, that game was fire
F1 Mobile closed servers 3-4 months ago... It is so sad

GT2 racing was the only game that made me have fun on a iPad. Just the cars music campaign only everything it was just so perfect 👌
Such a waste.
this video brings me back to these old day bro, really thanks
Does anyone else remember the FF6 the game for mobile i played the hell out of that game when i was younger
