- What If #Goku Was Raised By The Red Ribbon Army? In this What if I'll be looking at what if Goku didn't land next to Grandpa Gohan. But instead he landed next to the Red Ribbon Base. This part goes from the destruction of Planet Vegeta to the beginning of Dragon Ball?

I am surprised Gero would not make more androids for Goku to fight to abuse his Zenkias but maybe that will happen later on
This does take place during DB, so Zenkais probably aren't known to Goku yet.

I really liked the idea that Violet would become Goku's caretaker due to her love of small monkeys
Also, calling him Orange was VERY clever. It fits with the color of his gi. That most monkeys love oranges. And that orange symbolizes energy and excitement.
It also fits his saiyan name which is a play on carrots which are orange .

I know this is late but I thought of a different name for Goku so what I did is shorten naranja which means orange in spanish and then shorten it to Naran but it translated to Japanese to English as Naru. So the name I would use for this what if would be Naran or Naru

That's Awesome, my Xenoverse character of The Red Ribbon Saiyan now has a story! I never thought of it this way and this sounds awesome Goku's greatest enemy on Earth be the ones who raised being way better than him being raised by Frieza! I would love to see the story continue and see how this Army's influence could be enhanced thanks to a saying that turns great ape on the moon and is fighting alongside soldiers and Androids! Is perfectly coincides with my idea and Dragon Ball Xenoverse for the Red Ribbon Saiyan! If human 16 he's here that means both Dr.Gero and his Wife but also appear in influence the story later on.
His name also works because the Saiyan’s names are based around vegetables (Vegeta- Vegetable, Raditz- Radish, etc...) and Goku’s Saiyan name is Kakkarot which is supposed to be Carrot which are orange.
What if jaco actually succeeded in finding Goku like he was ordered to do.
So basically dexcomics's what if Goku was raised by the galactic patrol.

Have Goku Orange take over the Red Ribbon Army on the Basis of Red being incompetant, and have him conquer, but not destroy, earth, and have him and raditz join forces to make more Saiyan Hybrids, perhaps convincing Vegeta and and NAppa, or even beating but not killign them, and have the new Orange Ribbon Army and Earth lead the Fight against the Freiza empire, galactic patrol, and such, perhaps with the aid of Gero. And have Goku Control his Oozaru. Goku will be General Orange, the Oozaru Form would be transferred to the Hybrid Squadron, and Artificial Humans and Full Robot Androids would be the More Good Guy Orange Ribbon Army, who would be less evil, but want to stop conflict through conquest. Just thoughts. Mabey restore Goku's Family.
Also, Violet and goku Orange ship. MAbey Even have Goku wish Violet become a Saiyan. It'd make some sense, tbh.

The ultimate plot twist
So far, so good.
I only have one problem with this what if, if pilaf got his wish and got world domination, everyone, including the red ribbon army, would be loyal to him
Hmm, that's a good point but there might be another way to look at it. Pilaf wished for world domination not world loyalty and most people don't like to be forced or dominated. In other words, it might be possible that for some people the "loyalty" is kept in check by fear rather than the admiration of a leader.
If that is the case, perhaps people are stuck serving pilaf but their thoughts and feelings are still the same like being stuck at a job you don't enjoy but having no other option. So the wish put him in the position of King, but he's still the same ridiculous person meaning deep down some probably don't respect him. Because of this, maybe certain people could be waiting for the right time to strike and undo Pilaf's wish under his nose once the dragon balls become active again.
At least that's my 2 cents for what angle Dex may be going for here. It's totally cool if you disagree with me as that's part of what makes topics like these so fun but I wanted to share my viewpoint anyway. Have a good one :D.

@@fyteclash1022 Thanks, I think it's possible to look at it either way to be honest, but in order for the story to continue as is I decided to try and think of a way to make it work :).
That is very good point. But how would Bulma, Yamcha, Puar and Oolong beat Pilaf and his crew without Goku? They would probably pick up their slack more since they wouldn't have a super strong boy to rely on every time. I mean, Bulma made it pretty far before running into Goku. Perhaps if the situation called for it, she would be a lot more smart and creative. And with two shape-shifters and a desert bandit on her team, she would find ways to thwart Pilaf in somehow.
One could also argue that granpa Gohan perhaps joins them in order to be close to his Dragon Ball. And given how strong he is, they would fare pretty well.

Well, you could twist it to Orange Goku showing raditz he is a high rankin RR officer, and at this point he will have a hybrid kid with violet or launch. Due to Commander red being a selfish prick and goku really believing in RR he may consider Red to be an incompetant leader. So he convinces Raditz, to, as Nappa suggested in DBZ before him and Vegeta came to earth, breed a new saiyan generation by couping the Red Ribbon Army. Orange Goku would have pulled off enough exploits to make him both feared and loved. I think many RR Officers, Key Members, and Whole Army units may join him outright.
Even if vegeta and nappa didnt agree with this, gero might have ways to bolster the Red Saiyan Army (Or Orange Ribbon Army) by infinite engines and human androids, leading to a more action packed confrontation with the freiza forces and a stronger earth.
So the red ribbon army are good in this what if

in my dragon Ball Utopia series, Violet and the other Red ribbon elites become Z fighters. I even ship Bardock with Colonel Violet and they have a half Saiyan kid.
