It is wrong to say she got popular with Tumsa Nahin Dekha as she had done Munimji with Pran and Dev Anand and multi starrer Dekh kabira Roya with Jawahar Kaul, Anup Kumar and Sudesh Kumar with Anita Guha and Shobha Khote in co lead roles. She was noticed as actress by thwn.
She got couple of good songs in Munim Ji (1955) ...Shiv ji bhiyane chale & Nain Khoye Khoye...but her role was insignificant! Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (1953) had great songs (amongst my most favourite soundtracks). Unfortunately prints of the movie is lost forever. In Dekh Kabira Roya (1957) all three actresses got equal screen space but Shubha Khote outshined the others. So Tumsa Nahi Dekha indeed should be considered her first screen grabbing performance. Of course all imo. :)
