This interview with Sekhar Kammula is simply superb. His honesty is refreshing. What a fine human being this guy is, Kudos! We are lucky to have such an intellectually mature movie maker in Telugu. The frankness with which he relates his experiences in America, especially about working with African-American students at Howard University, Washington D.C., his views on the caste discrimination in India, his firm ideas about treating the opposite sex with dignity, and his definition of success are all highly commendable! [It is unfortunate that the interview is in Telugu and has no English subtitles! Bro One has achieved cult status. Even many of my Tamil and Hindi friends talking abt it. Right now when we compared the level of filmmaking happening in India, then One movie is actually way ahead of its time. The only drawback of the movie is that improper placement of the songs, But I think these type of genres doesn't require a song in the first place....
bro anand was a excellent film and was superhit, but when it comes to collections it was just a break even!! Even a small film wasnt able to generate revenue inspite of getting BB talk, #1nenokkadine is a high budget film, how can it recover investment

The african-american topic is certainly a surprise(given my expectations before watching the interview) and it was conveyed in an amazing manner. His thinking ability is beyond obvious and it reflected in all his movies so far AND i don't think anchor/interviewer is up to his intellect to grasp what is being said by him and hence the questions posed weren't really interesting.

I liked your Leader and consider your best film till date. You touched a very vexing issue of corruption among politicians and the film unintentionally seeped into many near real life scenarios in Telugu states! As far as Fida is concerned, it is an honest love story, thoroughly entertaining, with no huge villain angle with Prakashrajs of the world. One can watch Fida anytime for entertainment. I have a simple observation though...Of course, undoubtedly the heroine Sai Pallavi has done exceptionally well. Having said that, the story line is so nice and endearing...as you mentioned in various interviews, you look not for earth shattering but only natural simple acting...you could have chosen a new talent locally who would have lifted the movie by a notch or two. I bet you choose any hardworking actress from any other language, they will learn their lines and carry off the story equally well. In the end the movie appeared to be a rather long audition test for Sai Pallavi ( of course she passed the same in flying colours). Your script is the king! You could have perhaps taken a Telugu girl and the result would have been more mind blowing!!!Similarly I sometimes feel if you stick to usual dialect followed in all Telugu films ( instead of trying to please KCR on a lighter note), perhaps the movie may be still better. It is a little ...put off dialect ....considering the standard movie genre. In short Telangana dialect is an USP but not so positive USP!But I know it is difficult for you to agree with me!
