Even if stormont was back nothing would be done. The untouchable voting base of farmers is mainly to blame. Heartbreaking.

Ridiculous and devastating. We need change. I am starting with myself.

The water treatment works are not removing the nitrates and phosphates, too expensive to achieve.

Government not holding the farmers accountable for dumping their waste. Done the same in the Lagan in the Dromore area killing all the natural insect/fly life on the river bed with their toxic dumping. It’s a disgrace

The Swan has not 'Clearly died of Blue Green Algae' poisoning. If you want to know how to resolve this problem. Ask any serious fish keeping hobbyist. It isn't hard if you have the will to do it.

Surely it can be harvested and used as a fertiliser... C'mon Ye engineers/inventors and open minded scientists...This CAN be resolved !

It's a living plant - so, there surely IS a way to use it.
