Amazing how slight play in the mechanism and placement of the servo can create an ever so slight delay in the motion. Amazing look into creating all of this and I am enthralled by this series. Can't wait to see more of this progress.
They make much smaller servos and Arduino boards which are perfect for what you are doing, however I know you will make this work and it's going to be fantastic. Just something to think about for next time. Now that this bug has bit you there's no going back. You're gonna be hooked. There are so many possibilities and it really brings a model to life. Can't wait to see how you tackle getting all this in that car. It's going to be epic. Oh and very nice touch with the lighting (the red LED seen in some shots). That's going to look so spot on when done.
A bientôt.
Hi Kenji-San, it‘s amazing how you fixed the mechanic construction for the headlights, very realistic move, it would be great if you could fix some lights in the headlights( like in the Nissan you did 1 or 2 years ago, Greets from Berlin
Thank you very much for these videos! It's been so many years since I last built it myself (too much work and stress).. It's great, through your videos, to return to the state of mind you get from building miniature models 👍
Hi Kenji, looking very nice, I wonder if you will put the rest of the electronics in a display base, or modify the bread boards to fit in the car. It will be exciting to see what you do. I look forward to it. Thank you Kenji, and take care.
Back in 1990 I used a HO scale train track switching mechanism to open my 1/16 scale Lamborghini headlights . It worked perfectly . Then I added my own switch that was basically an on/off /on switch in place of the gear shifter . The original switch was a momentary on/ off/ on switch . Long story short it was an electromagnetic Device and it stayed energized . I turned on the lights and about 30 seconds later smoke started rolling out of the “ boot”. I almost burnt the house down . Lol
Sensei I have been absent from your channel for some time, but i see you have been expanding your craft, your art is unbeatable. Hope you have been well- Mike.
Fantastic, but to be scale accurate, one of them should only open halfway, like the car is drunk. And sometimes, the other one just shouldn't move at all. It's a Lotus thing...
Great work! You can probably use a arduino nano instead of the uno, its much smaller, maybe not fit in the car but almost, and its also cheap. Thanks for your videos!
Helas I appreciate your skill but I think static model must remain static model, I'm not interested in RC nor interested in bizarre hybrids like a single movement of lights, a useless addition, but never mind I don't want to criticize your nice game.

Thank you very much!!
Very nice result, Kenji. If one is lacking space for a servo, this can also be accomplished with an actuator made from Nitinol "muscle wire".
what's this? Never seen before! thank you!✨
this unconventional "engine - muscle wire" could not be used for this scenario. Or do you have working example?
I love your videos. You do great work. I will love to see your a video of your hobby room.
Thank you!!

Thank you.
When I checked the actual car, I found that the timing of the light lighting was wrong, so I will correct it.
I have owned several cars with flip-up headlights and they never worked as smoothly and as synchronized as yours.
Well done
Thank you, I envy you.

Thank you. The lights will come on. Please watch the video again👍

Amazing work from an amazingly talented man. Well done. Can't wait until the next video. 😊

Wow Kenji 😮
Will you be making the lights work as well?
That's the plan. Thanks

HIi Brian, thank you for everything.
I think that the equipment other than the motor will be stored in the base. There is no more space in the car.
So satisfying, to watch a master craftsman work. 🙌
Thank you👍

Thanks😃

True story? ! No laughing matter!🤣

that's awesome mate, your just too good 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😁
Thank you!!😁
Very nice. However you can get much smaller servos or linear servo for a better fit.
I wrote it elsewhere, but this beginner set only had this!
@@kenji-plasticmodels , ah. Ok. You did a very good job with such a large servo.
Absolutely amazing!!!
Thank you!!
Woow evry time a realy superb job 👌 🙏
Thanks!✨
@@kenji-plasticmodels you welcome Buddy 😉
Fantastic, but to be scale accurate, one of them should only open halfway, like the car is drunk. And sometimes, the other one just shouldn't move at all. It's a Lotus thing...
Well, that's for sure!🤣

Incredible animation. 👌
Thanks!
Fantastic !!!! 💯👍👍

Kenji... Have you test the wire make under the car?
I will do it later...
More!!! 🧡🧡
Thanks!
8:25 is the lip balm used as a release agent?
that's right! I will remove the motor later.
👍👍👍👍👍
I don't understand why you're using such a big and powerful servo just to open and close the lights?
As I said in the video, I am a beginner in electricity and know nothing. This was the only servo motor in the starter kit.
@@kenji-plasticmodels OK, no problem, I would have done the same :)
🤗👍👏🌞
Why didn't you use a linear micro servo 🤔
