I didn't know UPCI allowed fast songs still. Did someone accidentally start a 4/4 loop with a tempo over 128 at the end there? I'm joking, but it's still kinda true.
Lol! I don’t know I get it! I’ve been in UPC churches my whole life, but play tons of fast and shout tempos. Have you experienced churches that only play slow songs? That would drive me crazy.
@@DanielBernard So, serious conversation, thanks for engaging. Your drumming is fantastic, this has nothing to do with your high skill level. What prompted the comment was the double time beat at the end. It was surprising, rarely hear it anymore. Then I realized just how rare it has become. For me a fast song = double time. I think the new definition of fast song is ‘regular time once we get over 128bpm.’ 😊 Quick look at some of the recent songs on the channel and their tempo… Heaven Invade(tempo 110), Joy is Coming(tempo 115), The Sound(135), Glorious day(117), Higher(97), The Blessing(70), Power in the Name(131), I thank God(132), Mighty God(140), What a beautiful name(66), I Gotta song(120) All these songs are great. Good songs. I like them all. I think “I Thank God” Is sort of the new fast song prototype. It gets up over the 128 threshold (IMO the line between slow and fast). But it’s still regular time, can’t quite make it to double time. Mighty God, same thing. It’s “fast” but played at an exciting regular time. Power in the Name, fun song, it’s “Fast” but we still get to go regular time. By regular time I mean - if you are jumping with the beat you can just clap every other time you jump 😊 But even from this sample of 11 songs, none are fast songs (double time) and I’d say only 3-4 would fit the ‘new definition’ of fast (128+ regular time). Again, thanks for engaging in the comments, I know this is rarely the place for decent discussion. Maybe a future video discussion & opinion from you on fast song vs. slow song! Maybe I'm way off (or too close to 40 years old)!
The Lord has blessed you with a wonderful gift, and it’s so good to see someone use it for the Glory of God! 🙏

UPCI MUSIC - The Sound (Featuring David Jennings)
So nice, had to play it twice. @DanielBernard, just curious, do your in-ear monitors serve as ear protection too?
They can if you don't push the volume too loud, but if you make it too loud it you can still harm your ears.
