    • @ameliarose47
      @ameliarose47 7 месяцев назад +10

      @@MaliUrumI haven't really heard anyone outside this comment section talking about the effects on skin, but I've heard that with hair if you wash it less frequently it stops getting as oily so if you get through the "awkward" phase of it being super greasy when you first start spacing out hair washings it gets progressively better and it's popular now to not wash hair every day. So if your feeling weird stems from a social stigma, don't. The hair is a fairly popular thing and I'm sure you'll be able to find info about it being better for skin too.

      I had the same experience. And my grandparents had a house without central heating and they bathed once a week (the stove had to be heated with coal briquettes or wood first) and the shower was in the annex outside the house and could only be used in summer with an electric instant water heater, which only provided hot water for five minutes. We washed ourselves thoroughly twice a day at the sink with a simple soap and a washcloth and also washed our hair every two or three days. I lived with them for two years as a child. When the dermatologist advised me to shower less because of my irritated, inflamed skin, I understood the point. My grandparents never reeked, were clean and both had excellent skin and hair.

      It is so hard to get people to check up their hearing. They are like "I hear okay why should I get it checked up"but like...if you can't hear something how can you know that there is something you dont hear? We should check up our hearing just like we check our sight,get bloodwork done etc .We take our hearing for granted tbh but hearing loss is terrible. You become very isolated like in conversation but also in everyday life. • @zonuts
      @zonuts 3 года назад +4

      When I hurt my knee and went to the doctor, he had me using a support sleeve instead of a brace for similar reasons, and my knee has really stabilized. I don't need to use the sleeve all that often anymore. And yes, I did keep up with the physical therapy. Avoided surgery, too.

    • @jordancolemere9634
      @jordancolemere9634 3 года назад +7

      I am a physical therapist and the sturdy braces are for very short periods where stability is compromised. Not always worn either in most cases. Worn mostly when standing or doing activities, however is taken off when not active. But like I said. Short term is the use for those. Some steered you wrong in its use and you suffered for it. But healthier joint need sleeves like the other poster mentioned. The sleeves allow all of the structures in a joint to engage.

    to all the people saying "I live in a hot climate, I _do_ have to shower daily"
    great! you just confirmed that it is dependent on your personal needs! He didn't mention climate specifically, but if you are sweating a lot (like if you were exercising) then yeah you should probably shower. But If you live in a nice, mild climate or if you stay in air conditioning all day, you're probably safe to skip a day or two. Pretty sure the entire point of that segment was to dismiss the idea that _everyone_ everywhere needs to shower every day. Sometimes you do, like when you are living in a hot climate or are physically active every day. but the rest of us don't.

    During the winter, my body naturally adjusts to the cold weather by sensing the change of seasons, causing my pores to close up. As a result, I only need to shower about once a week. However, I take a sponge bath about three days after a shower to cleanse my underarms and nether regions, and this routine works fine for me. As the weather starts to warm up, my routine changes, and I may take a shower once or twice a day in the summer, depending on how much I have perspired.
