So just take your AC brick with you and leave your dock at home and you’ll still be able to play on the tv? Really should have shown you connecting it to the tv bro.
I know some of the other comments have already said it but if this things great new feature is being dockable from the grip.... You gotta show it. Imagine if when the switch came out no one showed going from handlheld to TV mode. Show us the feature man!
I would have liked you to use it docked to show us that it's safe. If you are to say "this nintendo switch grip is a dock" in the title .... people kinda want to see it used in that way. The grip maybe nice and it sure seems like it is but it would have been more informative if you docked it and shown off its main selling point.
I was waiting for your video on this grip when I saw this pop up on Amazon a few weeks ago. You are the first person on RUclips to make a video on this grip. You should have displayed the dock feature since you talk about it so much and it’s in your title and thumbnail. Makes me want to wait for someone else to make a video on it, they may be a little more honest with its downsides and overall review of the grip.
*From what I know, the "dock" has to be powered because the Switch does not generate enough power to send the video out so does this have a built in battery*
I got the Nitro Deck and I regret it, thumbstick placement sucks, really uncomfortable, can't use it, I wanted mainly because of the four back buttons. I see that this one has only two, but the fact that it is also a dock is great. How are the thumbstick placement on this one? Is it more comfortable than the Nitro Deck?
It’s smaller than the Nitro deck, but the thumb stick placement feels 10x times better in my opinion. My only gripe is that the actual thumbsticks are not a full size stick (I’d say like a 70% size stick) and the grip is kinda of slippery, I needed to get some kontrolfreeks to fully enjoy using it. The back buttons and face buttons are somewhat stiff out the box but now feel great after about a month of use!
If you hook it up to a 40" or 50" or 60" TV how long HDMI cable do you need? You need to be at least 2m from those. So, instead of regular dock in backpack you will need a 3m of thick, hard to bend HDMI. And what about Ethernet? I would rather have battery/grip then dock/grip.
I bought this and it’s awesome. But.. In dock mode with the Nintendo power supply I had a wireless controller issue when playing Fortnite with my kid. I have the pro Power A controller with swappable face plate. Some of the buttons stopped working during gameplay. No problems in handheld mode though. Maybe there’s no problem if you use a wired controller?
Looks nice but i already have two older models similar fo this. Original larger one and the animal crossing style one that has similar look to this one but no dock option.
It will if you have their hmdi to usb-c adaptor. You will still need to power the switch tho so not fully portable unless you have a power bank with you. If you have their Beam then you could just hook it up directly to it using a USB-C cable with no dock needed. You won't be able to power the switch tho so time will be limited.
OOF...You title the video and like others have stated, you repeat that it's a dock over and over and don't actually bother to hook it up and show it working, HUGE FAIL,,, Think this video needs an update or a redo...

I have this but the older model without the built in dock, probably my favorite grip
Honestly it really surprised me. Very very good
Sponsored video, doesn't say anything bad about the dock/controller, only good/neutral things. Take this video with a grain of salt.
I don’t take sponsorships unless I like the product. But fair to say.
lol he didnt even show him hooking it up to a monitor or TV so yeah huuge grain of salt.

No it still needs a power supply. That’s what the USB c port is for

Which size thumb stick covers fit? Because even the joy con stick covers looked a hair too big

Drip grips his dock
Omg 😳 😂😂😂

I just got one today and been having the same issue have you found any fixes?
@@khrystianuribe4587 not yet unfortunately.
Does it convert the power correctly since Nintendo has weird power requirements. Or will it potentially brick your switch?
That’s a good question. Because I do remember especially in the early days of the switch, some of the third party docks doing that.
I've been waiting for you to post this!!
This controller lasted a month and already has stick drift, even though it's advertised as hall effect
Might want to just recalibrate your sticks in the settings if you haven’t. Probably fix your issues
@@DripMediaGaming It was the first thing I tried and I noticed on the calibration screen that it was permanently drifting downward

Dpad is bad, as most are. Does not do well with platforms and fighters. Otherwise quite good
Triple A+ grip right there... All in one to Go..
the title made me finished the video, yet haven't seen being docked. so does it work or what?
So question, can you now use third party docks on a Switch or will it still brick your system?
No that’s not really a problem anymore. I would suggest using the power supply that comes with the switch though
You mentioned the dock feature in the title but you didn't even use it in the video 🤔
Looking incredible
It’s a good one!!
I wish the battery pack was a dock.
6 minute video about dock grip and doesnt show the dock function amazing
the last joycons i got from there got stick drift in less than 3 months. This looks cool but idk
But does it work with xreal air glasses

Bruh. You could have at least filmed you using it and showing the docking feature...🤦
Why are you yelling

You talk way too much without actually showing us what it does. Terrible review
