The siege of Fredrikshald fortress, Carolus was in a trench and was hit by a bullet, it could not be determined if it came from the enemy or the own lines...

It was discovered by finnish researchers that it was a Norwegian that killed the king not a swedish soldier

Only sabaton can make you cry for a man from over 300 years ago that you've never heard of

The album starts with Lion from the north, who is Gustav II Adolf, and ends with the death of Carolus (Karl XII), so it covers events during the early 1600 to 1721 (The peace at Nystad) The mystery lays in how Carolus died at Fredrikshald. Recent research shows that it was probably an enemy bullet that killed him. (It has been a theory that someone on the swedish side shot him). For me as a swede, and a soldier... these songs hit pretty deep. Its the way Sabaton write them, the stories and how the music always support the story. Makes me feel more connected to the long history of our country as well as what weve been through as a people. Especially during these times.

For a long time it could not be determined if it was an enemy bullet or from his own line, but recently with computer technology etc, they have determined that the engle of the bullet etc. etc. and the bullet type that it was from the enemy.

I think some finnish researchers found out a couple months ago that he was killed by grapeshot fired from a norwegian (defending) cannon. It's still debated

Great reaction, again!🤘 Now this album was released 11 years ago and since then scientists found out that Carolus Rex was killed by foe, not friend. His skull has been examinated at least 2 or 3 times.

November 24 there was an article after new ballistic studies that Carolus Rex was killed by kartesch ammo, so he was killed by the enemy.
Not by a bullet made from a soldiers button as the legend say.
