While Swiss Guards are constantly on-call to protect Pope Francis and have very rigorous working hours, they also have personal lives. Around 20 of the guards have wives and families. Brenda, Janik and Veronika are three such wives living within the Vatican walls.

I get what you're saying and yet, for millions, this isn't the case. The Holy Father the Pope isn't the same thing as God and Catholics do not believe the Pope is God.
