How about driving (in personal car) from Tokyo to Nagoya (or vice-versa)!? Personally, I'd choose (taking) the bus over the train (from Tokyo to Nagoya/vice-versa) because it (the trip) is/feels more personable to the country/place traveled (not because it's cheaper/the monetary price).
