That 'Back Hammer' stretch is doing amazing things for my lower back. Where my tail bone and spine meet, its shifted forward about 3mm so there's always a spot that was in pain and I had limited mobility. Did all the stretches but the Back Hammer helps the most with the lower back pain. Thank you for all your video's Dr. Rowe!

You're the one who inspired me to get the exercise ball out, blow it up, and use it. I have been loving using it. There is so much that you can do, both on the stomach and back. I've been challenging my quadriceps, and they are beginning to stand up off of the femur.

(I don't know if he would recommend this or not..) Having a workout ball like that is actually really helpful. I've had back issues since my teens and my old pain management doctor recommended I purchase one of these (especially since at the time I had a job that regularly herniated my lumbar discs). She told me to do almost exactly what his first exercise on here is, but with the ball. Just gently roll back onto the ball and allow each section of the back to stretch and loosen. Then keep going until you've stretched everything and it's comfortable. My goal was always to get to where I could put my head on the floor (most of my issues are low back so that's why that was always my goal). Once I got there, the muscles were loose and my back would start to sound like rice krispies, but I was also able to release anything that was pinched and popped several discs back in place. I won't lie, it did hurt when the discs popped back in, but the relief I felt afterwards was crazy (in the best way). Then I'd roll on the ball similar to him on my stomach, but would make my arms and legs limp and let the "dead weight" stretch everything out. That would usually pop anything else that needed to be. I do recommend the workout ball very much, but I've also attempted some of the exercises and techniques he's shown in videos and they never quite do anything for me. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong, but nothing stretches where it should and nothing pops for me. So to everyone who suffers with back pain, I definitely recommend trying the ball. It works better than you think it would. I wish everyone luck and hope everyone gets the relief they desperately need.

My herniated disc and sciatica has improved since Thanksgiving. It's been two months. I can walk much better now and for longer distances but i do still feel pain after a certain distance walked shoot down my left leg. How long until this pain leaves? will i ever be the same? I also feel the back of my neck is sore lately. Could that be a result of my herniated disc/sciatica? In the end though, very happy that I am in a much better spot than I was two months ago.

Goes by height size. 65cm is the most common, I'm using a 75cm (due to my height).

I get a crazy pinching feeling in (I think) my SI joint after the big ball decompress. It’s so bad that I can’t really move without extreme pain. Slowly I have to get myself to the floor and lay on my back for a minute or 2 before I can slowly move and stretch my hips. Even after all that my low back with be tight and painful for the rest of the day. This also happens when I decompress by hanging. PKEASE HELP ME!!!!

I can see that it's time for me to blow up the exercise ball again. Hanging on it like that, allowing gravity to do its work, does, in fact, feel good. Thanks for the reminder.
I bet that can of soup is still in the office, on reserve for these videos.
You're on the ball, babe! 😉
