The Tideripper is my favorite machine old and new, It used to be the Snapmaw but not anymore. Also you should try fights without buying skills from the Machine Master Skill Tree that will make it more even for the machines.
Here’s a tip, upgrade the Tenakth Dragoon armor to get its “lasting override” weave and put it on any armor you want, the armor can be found in the Quen’s stitcher

The Dreadwing had its stealth capability and agility, which let it knockdown the Stormbird a few times, but it lacked the weapons and elements to deal significant damage to its mechanical foe. Ultimately, with its superior weapons and attack capabilities for foes on the ground or in the air, the Stormbird clipped the Dreadwing!
Fully upgraded Aloy also gives a damage and health boost to her overridden machines, so the Stormbird's larger HP and (I'm guessing) more damaging moves got an even bigger boost.
Cool video despite the aerial only machines versus fights are usually boring thing, but dreadwing is bat from hell enough to make it interesting. P.S. Congrats with right costume finally. ;)
You get storm birds override from kappa, no need to kill one, and to override it you have to bring it to the ground, which you can only do with a ropecaster. And that area is an unmarked site in the mountains with the thunderjaw, slaughters pine, and tremortusk sites around. It’s in the middle. I’ve called those mountains “apex cliffs”
I wish they'd make an MH-esque game with Horizon universe. Just think of the possibilities. The monsters are already present in the base game, just need to design different weapon types (aside from the bows that Aloy uses), maybe make a melee focused one.

@@nextbigthingthebeastincarn7216 that's not true. Now for one. The storm bird can't fight the thunderjaw nor the fireclaw in forbbiden west. So we can't determine who would win Not for second. Yeah an overridden slaughterspine would beat a regular storm bird 7/10 times. Also another thing to note is that both the fireclaw and the slaughter spine both are a higher level than the stormbird in the notebook. And the thunderjaw is at the same level of the stormbird in the notebook(FYI I'm talking about forbidden west. Not zero dawn.)
It's a dark location on mountaintops, one that's blacked out on map. I glitches both enemies and killed them as they can't leave the area...sorta lame really how the enemies just stop like an invisible wall holds them back but they just float there.

Wow, that's a craft in the Dreadwing to shock down a Stormbird. (Stormbirds are quite strong against electric shock.) 😁
IIRC Dreadwing does not have electric attacks, hence the shock was triggered by Stormbird's own system when attacked at its core (I think)
