A pity readers think they must let Conan sound like a dumb brute. But for the rest I thought it was a reasonable reading and I like the guitar chords between the parts. I wouldn't mind hearing more stories read by these guys. I read the all the works of R.E. Howard, he is one of my all time favorite writers.Together with the other writers from the so called Lovecraft Circle and Cthulhu Mythos.
Roland Wieffering Conan, as anyone knows if they've gotten to know him, is certainly no dumb brute. He is one great icon of that group we call "Great Men", of which Donald Trump is the last member as it languishes into extinction.
@@HoxMouse yeah a lot of people like to say that, as if they had examples, but them pfffssst like the air out of a balloon. Youre certainly entitled to your opinion, but it's a shame you're just wasting the right repeating the one millions of others have learned by watching the propaganda. I guess you have some examples of this theft and whatever else bad you said, but I doubt I'll get around to reading them
Maybe not perfect narration, but its better than that crap that is computer generated. Anyone that wants really good stories and good narration, check out Scott Lynch's Locke Lamora stories and Michael J. Sullivan's stuff. I have read all of the Conan books forever among my favorites of all time. Really cool shit.
I enjoy listening to Athena Audio Theater Company on my media player & have downloaded all the Robert E Howard & H.P.Lovecraft available.Any chance of anymore being produced?
The red priest sounds like a strange imitation of an old john stewart (the actor from It's a Wonderful Life), but otherwise very enjoyable reading. I guess conan didn't have to sound so dumb, but that's ok.
Howard is making a strange mistake here. He repetedly states how superstitious and fearful of the supernatural Conan is yet it is civilized men who shit their diapers when confronted with extraordinary and Conan just stabs whatever the fuck it is first and ask questions later, if at all.
live and let live I guess. For me it was his inflections and general tone. Not Awful, I was perhaps a little dramatic in my previous statement. Thank you for the uploads. I spend a lot of time listening.
I've enjoyed three of these Howard audio readings and I've enjoyed them all. But a minute and a half into this butchered reading and I can't take it. I'm out. Oy.
Don't listen to the haters. I liked your narration
its not him... he just borrowed other recordings and put it on a tube...
That story never gets old.
Excellent rendition

Get your head and younger out of Trumps ass

Anybody know where I could buy ''El Borak and other desert stories'' on audiobook?
Audible had it but discontinued and `I have looked everywhere?
Is the Athena version of The Black Colossus still findable anywhere online? Would love to listen to it again

Could easily be set to a movie
The pathos...

This reader has ruined another R.E.H. story for me.
+youtubepersona really? I thought it was okay.

He uses his super-dramatic story-time voice-yeah, annoying-and a high-pitched, phlegmy voice at that.
Just be glad its hear
How come the crap narrators never breach copyright?

Terrible narration...but the story is cool.
"Robert eeeeeeeee Howard" this narrator is not good.
