Hey man that was great for me. I've been trying for a long time to get finger waves right and your tutorial is by far the best resource i have seen thus far. maybe you could do one on the Lotus flower, incorporating finger waves as a surrounding background? let me know if you will, i don't want to miss something like that sir.
@@thebrokenpuppet oh cool my friend! I didn't even think you would respond. You are high quality brother! Thank you sir! I'll come up with other ideas later, I don't want to load you down. PEACE MY FRIEND
+1, I’ve been looking for a good video about waves for a long time, this is so much appreciated. Also +1 on the future background tutorial. It’s great to see the channel expanding my dude, I’ve been watching for years now 🙏
This kind of wave is actually originally from Mainland China. During the Song dynasty, the artist Ma Yuan is well-known for drawing different kinds of Water waves. Water Album is one of his best drawing collections. So technically this is Chinese wave.
I have been following this account since a few years back, and I can say I have drastically made jumps in my art because of you. I make traditional art along the lines of renaisance aswell as charcoal anatomy study, along side a LOT of manga/comic aswell as traditional japanese (and am starting out with linocutting). I have a question, regarding these videos, would you be able to make some time do tackle these objects: japanese fire japanese smoke traditional japanese designs like geisha faces, yurei en some other yokai (i know of these you have some allready) and maybe some kiku/chrysantemum flowers? I look forward to your response if any. And if you ever visit a tattoo convention in Belgium I'll be sure to bring you an original of my work as a token of my gratitude. Thankyou for providing!

This is a great starter video on Japanese waves. People forget to learn the basics. Thank you!

Bro what brush are you using to fade the black into grey and are you using procreate
For shading on procreate I usually always use either the soft airbrush or the spray paint medium nozzle
