These look truly awesome and it’s great Victorinox is expanding into new types of knives. But I also hope they consider trying more durable types of steel in the future. Although this steel can take much neglect without rusting, it will dull much more easily compared to common steel types available today. #victorinoxmastermic

So it's 4116 Krupp steel. Thats a really nice steel judging from some Cold steel knives I have . The folding Victorinox blades are made of 420 steel I think.

An even greater idea for the future would be to offer the design of the small one but in a xl version with some jumping. That would be an awesome survival woods blade. Three years has been passed like wind and no knife reviewer showed any interest in these. Can you please tell me what’s wrong with these blades or perhaps anything else?
Nice knife for the display or collection. But not the he knife I would take to the woods with me. The steel may be decent for a SAK. But it's the wrong steel for typical bushcraft / wood processing tasks. The edge retention is way too low especially with such a delicate edge a scandi grind has. It's nice if a blade is easy to resharpen. But it's annoying if you constantly have to resharpen even after mild use. There are too many better choices (in terms of steel type) in the same price range. Victorinox should have picked something like 14C28N, 440C or maybe even a high carbon steel like C100 or 80CrV2.
