Got this movie on videotape, so long may my vcr survive! Funniest film I've ever seen and doubt it could be beaten by any "modern" comedy. Danny Kaye overflowed with talent.
Out of Danny's movies I have only seen inspector general and I fell in love instantly! I look forward to buying court jester, Walter Mitty, and any other movies I can get my hands on! A talented man deserves recognition, even if it is over 25 years after his death, please keep this man alive in the hearts of the world! Don't let the world forget Danny Kaye! May god bless his soul and memory!
singing a song that goes this fast is very impressive, but what else would we expect from the AMAZING, absolutely astounding, astonishing, awesome DANNY KAYE!!!!!
took me forever to get this song down, but with firm application and determination i made a fool of myself singing this at work back to back to back to back to back
The movie is "The Court Jester". This song was titled "The Maladjusted Jester". Lyrics by Sylvia Fine. The movie has a number of other funny parts and songs.
My favourite part of The Court Jester was when they hurried through with the Knighthood ceremony, bloody hilarious, makes me cry with laughter each time I see it!
ausfi I showed this lady at my work court jester videos & she told me she wants to buy this movie. She was a little girl at the time this movie was made. This movie is as old as my dad. I showed my crush at work court jester videos & he thought they were funny & cool. He also told me "I don't think I've seen this movie" I told him he should watch it. A friend showed me this movie because it is one of her favorites & I liked it so I wanted it for my birthday last year.
@atnicaj90 I have it on DVD. My parents gave it to me. I think they ordered it from Amazon, but I'm not exactly positive. It also might have been from Barnes and Noble.
OH NO!!! 2 people missed the like button and hit the dislike button instead!!! Don't worry, i made sure i was on the like button b4 i clicked. favorite part: "i found a bow and arrow and i learned to shoot, i found a little horn and i learned to toot, now i can shoot and toot ain't that cute!" total LOL!
I used to watch this part of the movie before every performance when I was playing a Minstrel in the community theatre.

I love Danny Kaye. He was such an amazing performer. I grew up on this movie and others. He'll always hold a special place in my heart.

Sylvia Fine, his wife, wrote the songs with Sammy Cahn.
I love Danny
Beeeautiful!
A tour de force
For a Jester's Chief employment is to kill himself for your enjoyment, and A Jester unemployed, is NOBODY'S Fool.
Brilliant! Thank you :)
This song is from The Court Jester.

Can someone write out the part where he speaks spanish after "and stand"? I can't follow it.
I realize you posted this a month ago, but just in case no one answered he said: "I was battered and bruised"
And yet you can't remember the vestle with the pestle. :|
Cicero
Pretty sure it's just fake Spanish-sounding gibberish. He did that a lot with different accents.
what movie?
This is a great clip, but that tag line gets real annoying real fast!
