It could be one of the following reasons why the jamun was hard: 1. The dough was not properly done; You need to add flour only as needed. 2. The dough was not soft enough and when frying it turned hard. 3. High heat will make the jamun cook from the outside faster and the inside will be undercooked and turn hard. 4. The syrup was not properly done. If the syrup is too thick, the jamun will not soak the syrup. 5. Important to add the lemon juice, they prevent the syrup from crystallizing and easy for the jamun to soak the syrup. Hope this helps 😊

I tried this today and my jamuns were so hard. I did it in two batches varying the amount of frying and both batches were a waste. What happened here?
