Very nice Chris! The Black Locust looks great for this project.
As a side note I also modeled mine up in CAD just to see what it would look like. And I 3D printed on in halves just for the fun of it.
    Keep up the great work,
    Gary

Thanks Gary! I made it in CAD so I could make the template, but I don't have all that technology you kids have like a 3D printer! Thanks for watching and the inspiration!

I use CAD for a lot of things where you need to be accurate to make it work. Or just to help me see what things might look like.
Another one coming up soon done that way.
I did find the laser a great way to make the template. Other wise I have made a lot of templates on my CNC mill.
Yes I do like my toys. But the mills were earned their keep for awhile. Figured it might be a good part time job but decided I did not want another job LOL

Thanks for watching Val! I wanted to try this, but in no way was this my idea. There are very talented and smart people in this community!

Brilliant job Chris 👍 Really fun project mate, done a few different shapes myself now. Thanks for the mention and thanks for sharing.

At the start there I was hoping you would try turning it with the two clamps on - "c'mon, whaddaya' chicken?" So when I saw you wearing a rubber glove to spread out the CA glue I knew your nerve had gone. Poor Chris. (Joking.)
Brilliant project, magnificently executed, wonderfully enjoyable. Thanks Chris. God bless ya' mate and stay safe.

It's harder and easier than I thought. That statement only makes sense to a wood turner! Thanks for watching Ruben.

Well done Bailey. I’m going to have to get that book and go through the process like Heather is doing. Great skill builders and eye training.

Definitely! Even with a template there are subtle things your eyes pickup. For my first try though, I think it went well. Thanks Doug
