  • The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most iconic paintings ever created. There is no debating that. In this single work, da Vinci combined all of his masterful technique and skill. There is so much to unpack here so today we are going to explain the genius of the classic fresco and whether it really depicts Mary Magdalene, as Dan Brown wrote in the Da Vinci Code.

    This painting is beautiful, I would've have had liked a complete analysis of all the apostles gestures and why they're acting a certain way. Other than that, I want to thank you for this information, I appreciate this mural.

    Really love the direction of your channel! Hope you'll get many more views x
    My 2 cents on this video: be punchier with the narration or start on a punchy note with the facts and then go in for the emotional interpretation, faster pace and less dramatic music, put captions for key concepts or points e.g., would have been nice to have tempera written on the screen for anyone who want to find out what that is and maybe explain it too :)

    Is it really true? Is person on the left really not Mary Magdalene?

      @howtubeable Год назад +2

      No, it isn't. It's John. Always has been. Dan Brown was creating a mythological drama based on wild fantasy.

    Apostle Peter could not have the knife as the hand is wrong! That is a right hand and I tried to simulate it by twistng my arm and found it impossible unless Peter is deformed. So that hand belongs to some one else!

    Thank you for defending John the Evangelist. Dan Brown has created so much chaos and confusion with his mythological lies.
