Great video, I have a 2011 Ridgeline and I followed your directions. But as it turned out pack rats chewed through the wires at the top of the fuel pump. I just had to splice all 4 wires back together and things were back to normal. Your step by step directions were great

Wow, that's crazy. I'm glad my video helped and that you didn't have to replace your fuel pump.
You are the 4th person this month that's told me about rats eating wires. There was a guy that needs a new wiring harness. They are charging him over $5000. You, my friend, got lucky.

Great video. Can you tell me where is the fuel filter? Is it part of the fuel pump?

    • @Prolbuilds

Yes, it's in the fuel pump.

@@Prolbuilds can you also tell me what the mileage of your Ridgeline was when you replaced the fuel pump? I’ve got 125k on mine, so just curious how long the pump lasts for.

Where is the location to check the pressure for the fuel pump?

You would have to disconnect the fuel rail hose in order to test it. (It does not have a test port like other cars.)
      1. Relieve the fuel pressure.
      2. Disconnect the quick-connect fitting. Attach the fuel pressure gauge set and the fuel pressure gauge.
      3. Start the engine, and let it idle.
      - If the engine starts, go to step 5.
      - If the engine does not start, go to step 4.
      4. Check to see if the fuel pump is running: listen to the fuel filler port with the fuel fill cap removed. The fuel pump should run for 2 seconds when the ignition switch is first turned on.
      - If the pump runs, go to step 5.
      - If the pump does not run, do the fuel pump circuit troubleshooting.
      5. Read the fuel pressure gauge. The pressure should be 390 - 440 kPa (4.0 - 4.5 kgf/sq.cm,
      57 - 64 PSI

The one I'm using in the video, I picked up at a swap meet years ago. But here is a link to one that looks very similar.

I purchased it at O'REILLY's Autoparts. I don't remember the exact brand.
