You put the boat on the trailer in the water then pull it out with a winch or a truck using a rope. When the boat & the trailer are out of the water you connect the tow vehicle...it isn't difficult.
The guy with the stuck truck should not have kept trying to get out on his own power just kept getting himself stuck deeper. Let the winch and tow vehicles pull you out....

Leave the car in Neutral, and let it roll. Pulling has NOTHING to do with power, but all to do with grip and torque. Jeez...
