I just really like that you were able to do a livestream on this petrified ring project and looking at the finished product of the ring because it's not just you making a ring but gives me and other people insight on what you were doing and to give a little bit of your time which made this project more for me at least! Edit: I appreciate the like Patrick! Thanks you!
Funny I literally just got done watching the water jet channel cutting that petrified wood and as soon as I got done the notification for this video popped up lol awesome video btw 👌
I'm dying inside because I've dreamed of making a ring out of this granite from a special construction project I was on and I see that I was on the right track with diamond hole saws! Thank you PAD! Always inspiring and reassuring that we too can smith rings! Thank you for sharing your trade.
This ring is the most beautiful ring I've ever seen and I'm really complicated when it comes to ring designs and looks. Edit: I really wish I could one day afford a ring like this but even if I could I would guess that you wouldn't be selling it because of how delicate it is to make one of these
Omg you Patrick are awesome I have watched you for years now 😮 so cool that you have made a business 🎉. You have inspired me to try making rings for fun . So thanks. 🫶🏼😃
I don’t know if you do or no but you could do full DIY kits for people to turn on there own lathe and I know you sell mandrills so a kit with a selection of set materials with a mandrill some CA glue etc... just a thought
Looking at your bit I can’t tell if it has diamonds in it or not. If it doesn’t I would definitely recommend it. If it does then that is some hard material! Beautiful looking ring.... !!
for future reference if you ever wish to remove the superglue i would reccomend an acetone bath that should dissolve the super glue with no worries of fracturing the material youre working with as long as said material does not dissolve in acetone itself
Amazing video as always. Huge fan! Just a couple suggestions here... Can you add more background light to your main intro stage (maybe a bit of blue color) and also could you use a tascam mic or something? The audio in your intros sounds like it's coming from a boom mic on the camera which sounds a bit scratchy/echoey. You may have you own vibe thing going though which I can respect
SkyHound I almost always use a lapel mic which sounds a lot better. But I’ve been trying to make my videos a bit less serious and more raw. I used to record my lapel mic to a separate recorder in my pocket so it’s a really big hassle to activate the recorder and then it takes a long time to sync in editing. I started feeling like it was negatively effecting my videos, rather than explain a certain step I’d just skip it. So I tried just using a boom mic like you said and I think it made it easier and more raw.
SkyHound I love the idea of interesting background lighting. This intro was a bit underexposed which we could’ve fixed in post, but we were super rushed and didn’t catch it. Also I’ll probably start using a lapel for at least the intros, then the rest of the vid I can use the boom mic.
As fragile is the Petrified Wood is I personally think a layer of the two-part epoxy would help reinforce the ring.... but that's just my opinion I'm not a Rainmaker. Thanks
I’m a new subscriber, but been a fan and watched a few videos before. Usually just like this time, when I saw you on the Water-jet Channel then came over and watched you make an Amazingly CooL ring. I’m a disabled graphic designer and tattoo artist and painter and I’ve made jewelry years back in college too. So, I have a close appreciation for everything that goes into your creations and designs.👍I look forward to watching more of your interesting looking ring designs and I like to wear unique rings myself, like “spinners” and “mother of pearl” inlays and unique finishes etc. Very Cool Material to use. Have you ever made a spinner ring too? Also, I really liked the SuperConductor* Ring video too. Great Design there too. Many great videos to check out looks like. You are a very talented fellow artist. *Have you ever made a unique design out of say a Geo’d or Crystal structure, maybe one that’s colored? I just watched fellow RUclips “Crystal Collector” channel and he looked like he had some amazing RAW materials you could make some Awesome Rings from. Maybe you could do a “Collab” with him too? Just suggestions. Best wishes. 🧔🏻👍✌🏼⭕️💎
Cool idea. I would've polished the wood itself though. If you used wet/dry sandpaper on the wood itself with water, you could've gotten all the scratches out and get a a great polish on it.
well his shop is pretty stocked so id say he can make any one or more of rings from random stuff around his workshop. but imagine him making a ring from hole saws or band saw blades or something XD
I think you should try a collaboration with a channel named demolition ranch. Hes a big gun channel and I thought it would be cool to make a ring out of AR500 steel with a black oxide finish and put in a carbon fiber liner
I did enjoy the video thank you very much but I'm not going to lie I was really hoping it would turn out better not that it's bad I'm not saying that I guess I just expected more but hey this is a learning experience right
It look really amazing, but personally, I have a very acidic skin and that brass would terribly stain it. A stainless steel or gold inner lining would better suit me. Still, this ring is insanely gorgeous :D
hard to wear a ring on that finger in the spinning part if it gets stuck and ripped off ;-). Use a stick to hold your abrasive buddy. BTW, beautiful ring
That ring turned out so good. Dibs
You’re the first to call dibs!
@@PatrickAdairDesigns dude I want to be your apprentice!

just wow. the ring really looks cool. to make a ring out of an actual fossil is just really amazing in a lot of ways.

Beautiful
I love the natural look.
kind of rugged and refined at the same time.
Wow I love this ring. Man I just keep finding new things to me from some òf your older video's
Gorgeous! Still curious on a “natural glass” ring would turn out!
what a ring love that for a wedding ring i lost fishing now 73 but love it
That is one of the most awesome rings you have made.
Another beautiful ring, always love seeing you work with different materials. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Wow! Super cool ring build! Great job, my friend.
Great ring Patrick. I like this one a bunch. Another incredible ring from P.A.D. Keep them coming brother.
David R thanks David!

Lovely ring, definitely worth it. Excellent job
I'd love to see you make one that way out of sterling and amethyst
William Hart that sounds beautiful!
@@PatrickAdairDesigns no problem made a lot of sense to me and equally as much using a nice slice of amber .
This one is stunning
Nice ring, sir👍👍
I love how you're so young and so fascinated
It turned out really great!
Cool and unique idea. Turned out great ! Beautiful ring. Love
It.
I love all your videos! You're the reason I started to make rings and I hope one day I'll be as good as you!!
I'm binging your videos and I really like this one. Very cool finish and brass looks great with it
Thank you! 🙏
Keep up the great work.
Awesome job specially with petrified wood 🙌🏻👍🏻
That is an amazing ring
Perfect. It looks like space
Beautiful! And you make it look so easy!
One of my favorite rings you've made!
I like recreating some rings you have made with money I've saved, this one's going to be Interesting
You deserve WAY more subs
Keep up the good work I can't wait till the next one.
So cool it looks amazing!
Thanks Carl!
I found an old bowling ball the other day and was tempted to make a ring after seeing you bowls! Maybe one day haha

They do sell kits! Look on PatrickAdairSupplies.com. Lots of great choices.
Very cool. I do a lot with lapidary. Lots of petrified wood and agates. You need a cabbing machine
Looking at your bit I can’t tell if it has diamonds in it or not. If it doesn’t I would definitely recommend it. If it does then that is some hard material! Beautiful looking ring.... !!
That looks amazing
If I had a bunch of petrified wood, could I send them to you to have a ring made? Would be a super sentimental gift for a family member
Awesome ring!! a meteor rock and dinosaur fosil ring would be cool...
Looks like calaxy color also amazing your lovely hard work Sir
Looks amazing.
Awesome work as always. Just an idea for next petrified wood ring if there’s a chip maybe turn or sand it down to have a side band out or meteor.
That. Is. Beautiful. ❤
You are so adorable..
Love your channel.

I'm here from the Water Jet channel. I think you've got to have them creeping in your background.
Ever thought of sandwich this flat slab between 5mm epoxy-resin on each side? To make it shatter proof I mean.
That’s a good ideas
@@PatrickAdairDesigns I got my bright moments ^^
Security glass, best example. Should save you alot of trouble.
Always very cool.
Get some sleep man, the ring looks awesome.
Beautiful! Great work as always :D
the waterjet guys could have cut out blanks for you.
that way you would have gotten a lot of rings out of it
Beautiful
Oh no the Basilisk got to the wood but at least you can make an amazing ring out of it
That was a brilliant move with the glue for the second circumference
Love your videos....
I shouldn't say first but I'm hyped for this!
Nice
Just was wondering why you chose that specific color of petrified wood? Its a nice ring looks great.

Have you thought about collecting up the brass shaving and mixing with resin and glow powder to make another ring?
As fragile is the Petrified Wood is I personally think a layer of the two-part epoxy would help reinforce the ring.... but that's just my opinion I'm not a Rainmaker. Thanks
Dude U are good !!
i really like ur channel
What would you put on the brass to prevent tinging a finger and the brass itself? Awesome video, the ring looks amazing

Nice!!
The best you have done. Your craftsmanship is impeccable! Have you started using the grizzly lathe yet? What do you think of it?
Will you be able to make an engraved silver ring? Or put opal in between all of the engravings. Just a suggestion.
would CA glue help keep the ring together? it fills micro cracks right? so, any micro-cracks in the material would be filled right?
I got a lot of stone I would love to see what this guy can do with them.
You should make a ring with obsidian in it.
Reminds me greatly of the grail from The Last Crusade.
What hole saw sizes do you use to cut out a ring blank? Looking to buy some
Cool idea.
I would've polished the wood itself though.

It looks similar to the mammoth ring.

I tried to find it on your website and could not.I really am interested in one also im from Washington which petrafide wood is are state stone
Is it possible to make a ring out of a diamond or other jewel like this ring? Or would it be insanely expensive and not worth the time or risk?
Diamond is extremely hard so its impossible to make one out of it
Eu quero um. Maravilhoso. 😍😍😍
Here in zamboanga del norte philippine we have it here in the jungle only .. puriefied wood..
Can you do a necklace match earing & bracelet??
Do an obsidian ring!
Magnífico
What brand or what kind of boring bars do you use? I'm struggling with mine and thinking I may have the wrong ones?
If you are doing more of this type try making a well from plasticien
I couldn't find this petrified ring on your site??
Can you make rings based off of some super heros
Is there a way to make a ring out of peridotite
hard to wear a ring on that finger in the spinning part if it gets stuck and ripped off ;-). Use a stick to hold your abrasive buddy. BTW, beautiful ring
Now in just curious, what will a ring made from an ammonite fossil look like? 🤔🐚👀
Probably really boring because they have nearly no internal structure that would look good. I think the waterjet guys cut one open
A ring made from ammolite (gorgeous organic gemstone) would be super cool.
Do you have it listed?
How much for the ring?
How are theycover the blades with diamonds ?
What lathe do you use ?
Size? / possible sell?????
