  • Dangers of jumper links or bridges and why they should not be used on distribution boards across circuit breakers.
Bridges across circuit breakers may be dangerous if not installed correctly. The current carrying capacity of the wire needs to be higher than any loads connected to the wire.
In South Africa the live wire is red and the neutral is black.

Any chance to doing a video on correct ways to connect an inverter to selected circuits in the DB board?

Thanks, your tutorials are the best!
My RCCB has a slightly higher profile (± 1 mm) than the MCB that I want to bridge to next to it, with a 2 teeth din rail busbar. Will it be ok if I do that bridge, causing the busbar to not settle perfectly onto the two breakers?
Also, if the need arises, is it ok to cut off one tooth of a busbar, so that a bridge can be made between live lines, skipping a neutral line that is inbetween?

How can you avoid using a bridge cable if you have 2 RCD's in your DB board? For example one for the feed to the inverter and one for the circuits that are not supplied by the inverter?

The spacing of the teeth of your pure copper bus bar seems to be too close to each other to fit the distance between terminals of your breakers. I have the same bus bar... Are you using it? If so, how did you get it to fit?

The unshielded copper one is for the samite rail.
