It's not even close. His s3 has a floor of 18. s2 has a floor of 12. I don't care if he doesn't do slash damage, hong lu hits 30 on an enemy once, twice if he rolls heads and gets a kill; Nclair does it THREE TIMES. Hong Lu has 4 coins, sometimes, on his skill 2. Nclair always has 4 coins, and they start at max value. Add to that blunt is an extremely common damage type for enemies, especially in the early game, which makes him extra helpful due to his resistance. I really feel like you're underestimating how much value negative coins that start with high numbers have. A max roll with a negative coin and a max roll with a positive coin are always going to be HEAVILY skewed towards the negative coin if they're done with equal max power. Even if an enemy is slash weak or blunt resistant, which isn't as common as you're making it out to be, hitting a 30 three times is so much better than hitting a 6, then 9, then 12, then 15.
I think you're overvaluing clash power in Inferno. Early game is irrelevant because you can use any support ID and they'll win up to Intervallo 1 (where you need to have your own stuff for the dungeon). My focus on negative sanity isn't related to clash power (although he will lose a lot of damage from missing coins), but the lack of E.G.O corrosion (unless you get lucky). Idk what the SP gain would be like, but if it's negative then panic and if it's positive then it's less damage than any of the other 3 picks with 45 SP. Idc about blunt resist, but the roadblocks in the games are going to be Chicken dungeon (no support + it's early) and BL dungeon (dps check and no support). I'm not including TKT because it's after BL and it doesn't have a dps check.
Nclair is the best ID of the bunch though. They're guaranteed another 3 star because of the new-manager pull, so Nclair's unreliability gets counterbalanced by it
lowkey forgot about the new-manager pull, but I'm willing to die on my Nclair hate hill (mainly for new players, but I also would just prefer Cinq or Dawn).
Think at current moment, the line should go Nfaust, Nclair, then Ting tang, then Chefshu, since Nfaust helps alot with the even into mid and late game, Nclair is good in general if you have the basic 3rd graders comprehension, as well as allowing you to breeze through canto III story dungeon with the unique interaction and even if you are unlucky with marks. Also right now Nfaust is just good since Barber outis is a great synergist with her.
You can support ID your way through Canto 3 and once you're in mid/late game I think you should have pulled/sharded at least a few identities where your picks here probably aren't as important. I like Chefshu a lot as a solution to Intervallo 1 and also the BL Intervallo (wound clerid + slash). I agree with the Nfaust take, but you can't guarantee barber Outis without rerolling accounts.
N faust isnt used specifically for bleed, whispers is a broken passive that serves to make the first few turns much easier, and activating it can also activate her fanatic, as well as gaze just being free fragile, not to mention next turn paralyse on skill 2, and also making sure Nclair becomes more braindead than usual. She also has synergy with the Ring ids, literally making their conditionals 100% chance if the enemy has any amount of bleed. The rolls arent half bad either, a 16 on skill 2 and a sp draining evade is nothing to scoff at.
I'm def getting NFaust and Fluid Sac I got lucky and got the La Mancha trio on my new extraction and standard one (yes princess, priest, AND barber), and I just need a good bleed id because I only have 4 currently, and using W corp Yi sang as a fill in is not very good.
i'll be honest nclair negative sanity is super easy to keep where you want it unless he's clashing constantly, or fighting enemies with 'make you lose sanity' stuff
The way I'd play as a new player he would be clashing constantly because he (or the other picks) would be the main carry ID unless I pull something better.
I wanted to pick Nclair because he looks cool. Got N. Corp Faust on second of my beginner extract things, after that in around 8 spins i got N. Corp Sinclair from a single pull on standard banner. I genuinely got lost on what to do lmao 🙏
As a veteran player of Limbus Company, I’d say you’re pretty much set. N. Faust and N. Clair works hand in hand, especially with Faust’s ‘whistle’ passive, giving the fanatic buff which already buffs the psycho-twink’s insane damage.
In what world is Ryoshu the best choice? Nfaust has better support. Tingtang is better in combat, skill checks and has a great support passive. And Nclair is the best choice by far, he wins all clashes and deals insane damage thanks to negative coins. If you're so scared of panic, then use his block or unequip EGO. I'm saying this as a day one player who owns all IDs. Ryoshu has subpar clashing, her damage is superior to only Nfaust, and her healing is not all that necessary (at most, her support passive is good for long-term sustain in mirror dungeon runs. This is mostly just relevant for solo MD challenges, because healing gifts suffice otherwise). Comparing her to Tingtang, for example, he can nuke low health bodyparts on bosses with his S2, has a better S1 and evade, and can clash a 30 with his S3 meaning you can use it instead of EGO to beat powerful attacks. And his support passive is an easy 20% damage up where most other damage passives only give 10%.
My reasoning for this video was focused on what I consider best for new players and getting through the story as fast as possible. It was mainly based on her ability to activate wound clerid in story dungeons, but yeah Tingtang is good. I still disagree on Nclair being the best choice by far. He's def good at clashing, but I think the damage thing is debatable depending on where you are in the story. I think corroding is good for Nclair and panicking is bad. New players aren't guaranteed to have an EGO that corrodes for Sinclair. I don't really care about Ryoshu's healing. Your points about Tingtang are fair, I mainly had Ryoshu above him for wound clerid and then Nfaust above Tingtang as an excuse to field fluid sac.
i chose the one who grips faust and i am 3 days away from fluid sac, right now i am waiting for the enkephalin to refill so i can continue canto 5 (i also cant wait to uptie 4 my barber outis with the ticket)
As a new player starting Intervallo 2, N Clair consistently tops damage and wins every clash. I can't imagine settling for less as it's made my life so much easier. I bring him everywhere and he just works amazingly, resistances be damned lol. Update: Just beat Canto 5 and he's still the most reliable unit for me. Does the most damage, gets me through any dps check, and has been super clutch with clashes that would otherwise obliterate my team when I have no resources to use an EGO.
I think new players are better off with the other three choices before Nclair and I'd honestly prefer to just stockpile my boxes to 400 for a 3 star Faust ID
like most people said, pick nclair, i started the game before these rewards were a thing so i couldnt choose him directly but once i got stuck for like 2 weeks in a very specific fight on canto v i got him from the dispenser and man has carried me ever since hahaha, literally still used him in canto vii and other content and im so glad i picked him, now a days im using a bleed team with the new ids but hes a great starter pick imo
I know a lot of people are saying NClair, i do want to say I picked NClair during the event last month and he does amazing everyone EXCEPT i was hardstuck on MD Kim until i pulled from the free lunacy. He is certainly the best ID of the season 1 units but if the main criteria was beating the story with only base IDs + a free season 1 ID, I would not pick him solely due to Kim.
The thing about RB Ryo is that she's got a god-tier support passive, but as an actual unit she kind of incredibly sucks. End game players love her but recommending her for a new player is something I'm pretty ehhh about, considering they're more worried about just getting a viable team thrown together and are going to worry about things like support passives way down the line. As a unit she's got super low clashing power and her damage has not kept up over the seasons. N Faust on the other hand has Nails, which is one of the most consistent ways to get bleed count in the game (and bleed just got a huge buff thanks to the bloodfiends), she fuels Fluid Sac like you said, and she gets a free paralyze in there as well which is a hard to come by and pretty useful status. And of course N Clair pretty much just wins most clashes which makes him great for getting through the story.
tbh I wasn't even thinking that far. I honestly don't think RB Ryo's clashing power is something to worry about up to before Canto 7? (I haven't played through Canto 7 yet on a newish acc to test it yet) Main thought process was if a new player got unlucky with pulls what would be the best character to choose as the backbone carry of a team to prevent grinding at lower cantos. N Clair clashes good, but I think his negative sanity makes him bad to be the main carry for a new player especially if they don't have an EGO that corrodes for him. N Faust point is fair, my recommending of Chef over her is mainly because of the damage types. I don't really think clash power is too much of an issue in the Cantos as long as you aren't underleveled. Regardless I think new players are fine with any of the four picks (though I think they will have a harder time with N Clair).
N Clair nukes everything, even if you constantly hit -45 it really doesn't matter because you can't corrode in the early game. (and if you have an E.G.O on NClair just don't equip it. lol) But tbf just pick whatever you like, in the long run you would get (almost) every important ID by just farming The Mines™ (Mirror Dungeons), and the early game is very easy with the Support mechanic. Of course if you are a meta gremlin like me pick N Clair is just too absurd for a new player, just check his SP, block to recover and keep nuking.
The lunacy is normally from bug compensation or weekly maintenance. The new manager attendance check should be the first thing that automatically opens when you log in. If you made your account a while ago, but only started recently that could be why it isn't showing up? Otherwise no clue why you wouldn't have it.
@@protossmuddythx . I juste started playing a week ago. Because the game was siting in my steam account waiting for october. I must have started it by mistake to see if i worked a little months ago 😔🥲
If you're asking as a not new player, you probably have better alternatives for a purely bleed team? New player wise she's aight for SP gain/they're not guaranteed to have a decent Faust ID so it's a good excuse to have fluid sac machine on the field and S1/2 being pierce will be useful for Canto 5. One of my main thought processes for the order was bleed + slash makes Ryoshu #1, reasons mentioned make NFaust #2, Hong Lu is slash so #3, and Nclair is bleed (but also negative sanity) so he gets left for last.
Whistles is very good. S3 heals SP on kill. I still use her on my Lust - Bleed team along with both Ring IDs cause she inflicts Bleed, Nails, Paralyze & Gaze.
@marcinwasilewski3278 She is also useful on Blunt and/or Pierce centric teams due to her inflicting Gaze, which boosts the damage of blunt & pierce on a single target.
nfaust is a must have for every lust-res focused teams like bleed and burn, although for the latter u bench her. U use n faust to immediately get everyone up to max sp. more importantly so for dawn sinclair if you hv him
NFaust is a great support for one of the better statuses, bleed, with (currently) the strongest application and consumption IDs, and is very easy to build around. Also between tons of built-in SP sources, fluid sac, NClair synergy, next-turn paralyze, gaze, she's just one of the better team supports in general, not just for bleed. She suffers from "old ID design" syndrome where her numbers on skills are relatively weak, but she just does a lot of things modern IDs are sparsely given. So as long as you have other sinners to offset her inconsistency with clashing, you'll quickly find out that she's blatantly overloaded with utility.
Chef Ryoshu over NClair? NClair is a no brainer in nuking bosses, even without EGO, this ID can steam roll all contents. Chef is only good in healing against weak enemies in normal fights, Chef is kinda useless in long boss fight.
Healing is mostly irrelevant for the earlier cantos IMO. Her S3 is kind of a nuke? But I chose her mainly because of the slash. All of the 3 I put above Nclair also come with dodge which is a plus.
@@protossmuddy Her S3 only good against units with small hp pool, for Elites and bosses, NClair S3 is better most of the time. Also Fluid Sack already cover the healing part, assuming new player pick this EGO.
If you want to have fun in limbus I hard agree with the ID picks, for the ego Fluid sac is helpful If you are struggling to keep sinners alive during clashes rather than a solid offense but has solid multi-target damage. IMO if you want great AoE attack you might want ebony stem instead. If you are fixated on Nclair you better have decent supporting ID's in the first place cause you will just find him to be a pain to play around starting off and won't learn anything about managing sinners in harder fights.
A little post commentary: You really should not struggle for the first 3 canto's tbh even without fluid sac. Yes some fights are "tougher" than normal but all pretty forgiving unless the chain battle rework breaks something. Have fun with what you have early game cause the hard skill check comes at 5-30 and you'll quickly learn how to effectively "use" most mechanics right there and then. =] Good luck Dante
Those poor new players getting gaslit into not choosing n sinclair... At least chef ryo, n faust, and tingtang hong lu are better investments in the long run
I would prioritize N Clair over Tingtang Hong Lu for a new player, because of how much more consistent N Clair performs compared to Hong Lu. I've watched my new player friend use N Clair and I would safely say that because the inferno enemies are so weak early game, N Clair would always be positive sanity. However, he's floor rolls are much better than Hong Lu. N Faust and Chefshu are definitely the first 2 picks because of sanity support, and good damage on S2 and S3 for chefshu while also fueling fluid sac.
aoe, healing health and sp healing decent high roll ego in overall compared to your other options of egos they only support some team synergy but lack much aoe which is important to have for certain bosses. also as a new player you only need some identiys at least 5 maybe less. the default sinners are good you just need to pay attention who you are bringing for certain fights having identiys makes the games story easier to do

Nah I wouldn't choose Chef Ryoshu and Tingtang Honglu. Both of them are better off being use as a support in the bench and they're both mid as a clasher, picking them is so bad for long term investment. NCorp faust on the other hand is such a great support unit that works in any comp long term. Not to mention you probably need a strong faust to clash with fluid sac in the first place. Nclair is also too much of a great damage dealer to sleep on. Even with negative sp, he's still very easy to use if you just don't equip an ego. Not to mention the fact that he is one of the highest damage id, like ever.
I wouldn't say it's a bad long term investment. I agree with your Faust points, but I think that Chef Ryoshu and Tingtang Hong Lu are solid picks for a new player to choose to carry them up to like canto 6. Their clashing isn't the best, but that shouldn't really matter most of the time and I think the slash damage they provide is important for getting through what I view to be roadblocks in a new player's progression. I think Nclair is a bit overrated. His damage is good and his clashing is rock solid because of his negative coins, but I don't think it's worth relying on him as one of your main early carries when all the other options have dodge and still have decent clashing/damage. I'd say you're better off having Nclair corrode instead of panic, but you can't really guarantee getting fluid sac + an EGO because you can only pick 1.
I'd still recommend fluid sac, but it's not required to play through the game so if you really like Rodya/sinking go for it over fluid sac. Either way whatever you choose gets removed from the gacha pool so you may eventually get spooked by the other EGO or you can always dispense it.
For the 00, Yuri Faust is one of, if not the best choice imo. Not only is she also Slash, but she also self-fuels Fluid Sac on top of having an S3 that clashes very high in the early game for an easy to achieve condition. LCB Ish is also good if Blunt damage is needed. I'd pick Mariachi Sinclair over Chef Gregor.

I appreciate the don quixote scream
Nclair is the best ID of the bunch though.
They're guaranteed another 3 star because of the new-manager pull, so Nclair's unreliability gets counterbalanced by it
lowkey forgot about the new-manager pull, but I'm willing to die on my Nclair hate hill (mainly for new players, but I also would just prefer Cinq or Dawn).
@@protossmuddydawn is absolutely worse for newer players than n corp
Just get ringsang and the new Sancho don that'll release and it's the best bleed team@@SillyRunner
i'll be honest nclair negative sanity is super easy to keep where you want it unless he's clashing constantly, or fighting enemies with 'make you lose sanity' stuff
The way I'd play as a new player he would be clashing constantly because he (or the other picks) would be the main carry ID unless I pull something better.
I'm a new player and rhe only time i got cooked by nclair sanity is when i unwittingly choose kim floor3 in mirror dungeon
N clair carried me so hard, I m level 50 and still don't read the skill texts.
I feel like people tend to forget how strong Ting Tang Hong Lu and Chef Ryoshu are
Best ID would probably be N Faust. Why? Whistles. She still carries me today (doing Canto 7 with a Lust team).
I forgot I watched this video already and yes seeing you UpTie Gregory to four still causes physical pain
Guys, i beg you, dont watch video after 1:05, you WILL regret
*P A I N*
Very informative but what if I'm watching from the past, what do I do now?
Perish
lament, mourn, and despair
what unfortunate, tragic children...
I can't do nothing but mourn for them.
Insanely good bait!
I almost laughed when you placed Tingtang Hong Lu and and Chef Ryoshu above N clair !!!
it's not bait
@protossmuddy oh.
i chose the one who grips faust and i am 3 days away from fluid sac, right now i am waiting for the enkephalin to refill so i can continue canto 5 (i also cant wait to uptie 4 my barber outis with the ticket)
How charitable of Protoss, taking care of the noobs ❤️
As a new player starting Intervallo 2, N Clair consistently tops damage and wins every clash. I can't imagine settling for less as it's made my life so much easier. I bring him everywhere and he just works amazingly, resistances be damned lol.
Update: Just beat Canto 5 and he's still the most reliable unit for me. Does the most damage, gets me through any dps check, and has been super clutch with clashes that would otherwise obliterate my team when I have no resources to use an EGO.
WAIT, you're telling me, that you can CHOOSE 000 IDENTITIES, I TOUGTH IT WAS ONLY 00'S SO I PICKED LCCB ISHMAEL OH GOD
it felt like watching someone peeling a banana in a swirling motion with a knife like a potato when you maxed out rb gregor
i have mixed feelings
Glad you appreciate my art
THE BACKGROUND BEING TAKING RB GREGOR AND UPT4ING HIM 😭
Nclair and fluid sac faust. then spend around 75 boxes from the BP to buy Lob corp remnant faust, done
I think new players are better off with the other three choices before Nclair and I'd honestly prefer to just stockpile my boxes to 400 for a 3 star Faust ID
Me at canto 5 with 2 3-star id sudden remember there is event for new manager: 😭 (I really need that Sinclair)
like most people said, pick nclair, i started the game before these rewards were a thing so i couldnt choose him directly but once i got stuck for like 2 weeks in a very specific fight on canto v i got him from the dispenser and man has carried me ever since hahaha, literally still used him in canto vii and other content and im so glad i picked him, now a days im using a bleed team with the new ids but hes a great starter pick imo
I didn’t realise their were 3 stars and got a 2 star ID 😔
Regardless I think new players are fine with any of the four picks (though I think they will have a harder time with N Clair).
im a new player and started on steam but didnt get the 14 day login :(
Oof you had to have made your account after September 26th :/
Im having a heart attack seeing you choose ched gregor
CHED GREGOR MY GOAT
N Clair nukes everything, even if you constantly hit -45 it really doesn't matter because you can't corrode in the early game. (and if you have an E.G.O on NClair just don't equip it. lol)
But tbf just pick whatever you like, in the long run you would get (almost) every important ID by just farming The Mines™ (Mirror Dungeons), and the early game is very easy with the Support mechanic.
Of course if you are a meta gremlin like me pick N Clair is just too absurd for a new player, just check his SP, block to recover and keep nuking.
Wait there is daily reward in the game ? I started a week ago and i did not have any reward exept a few lunacy in the mailbox
I must have started it by mistake to see if i worked a little months ago 😔🥲
its for any new accounts that was created after 9/26
Why is NFaust good?, I have her for my bleed teams but I dont see what she brings that makes her so much better when compared to others
Basically either N corp or hell’s chicken. (I love the diversity here)
Physical pain Impressive
Aww man I missed this offer i could have gotten a free ncorp Sinclair or Faust
This man has the based attitude i've been looking for all this time
You can't pick the wrong choice if you never pick a choice at all. That's why im never using my ticket 😎
BASED
If you want to have fun in limbus I hard agree with the ID picks, for the ego Fluid sac is helpful If you are struggling to keep sinners alive during clashes rather than a solid offense but has solid multi-target damage.
Good luck Dante
I didn’t realize you could get a 3 star and picked a 2 star😐
Damn when i was a newbie i don't get this thing in season 4
Those poor new players getting gaslit into not choosing n sinclair... At least chef ryo, n faust, and tingtang hong lu are better investments in the long run
Im legit pissed that this thing started right after i started playing the game. The things i missed out on pisses me off
I would prioritize N Clair over Tingtang Hong Lu for a new player, because of how much more consistent N Clair performs compared to Hong Lu.
This could have been good for me since i have not gotten a single 000 identity, but i created my acc late
I DONT HAVE THIS???
is fluid sac really that uncontested?
Yes.
Yes.
aoe, healing health and sp healing decent high roll ego in overall compared to your other options of egos they only support some team synergy but lack much aoe which is important to have for certain bosses.
also as a new player you only need some identiys at least 5 maybe less. the default sinners are good you just need to pay attention who you are bringing for certain fights having identiys makes the games story easier to do
yeah, shits the reason i field faust everywhere i go
AoE + huge HP heal for all allies + great SP heal for all allies + great E.G.O. passive + no SP use on heads hit at threadspin IV
even the WAWs E.G.O. (for now) can't beat fluid sac as a healing support
I can't tell if the 2nd half of the video was made for bait, or the entire video was.

I'd say NFaust
@@protossmuddythank you
Nah I wouldn't choose Chef Ryoshu and Tingtang Honglu.
So what would be the best for a bloodfiend team? (No Outis yet)
prob just Nfaust lol
@protossmuddy thanks, did assume it would be faust XD
I picked a 00 in the 7th day....
Do you at least like them?
@protossmuddy yeah it is don
wait a min wtf is this i never know theres a new manager event
im new in this game and just got Dieci Rodion, should i pick Rime Shank EGO?
I'd still recommend fluid sac, but it's not required to play through the game so if you really like Rodya/sinking go for it over fluid sac. Either way whatever you choose gets removed from the gacha pool so you may eventually get spooked by the other EGO or you can always dispense it.
PLZ NEW PLAYER NEEEEEVER CHOOSE CHEF GREGOR , ALLWAYS CHOOSE NCLAIR!!
I'm a new player and i just got the new outis ID so should i choose Nclair or Nfaust
I'd say Nfaust between the two.

You mean the support passive? Check what base gregor's passive does, base greg's passive is superior because you don't need to win clashes to heal. It's cheaper, too.
G greg's passive is only better in solos, low sinner count runs or if you have no gloom in your team.
